What is the best fitting hpipe for our Machs?

I figure all of the non catted h-pipes are going to sound exactly the same, but what about fitment. Ive put alot of h-pipes on fox bodies in the past and most of them were a pain in the butt because of the fitment. Now that im older, dont have a garage, and dont get around as good as I used to anymore. Fitment is very important.

So what would you guys recommend for a good fitting h-pipe. Also while im thinking about it, im running magnapaks. Do you think an off road h-pipe and magnapaks would be too loud? I dont want to draw any unnecessary police attention to my Mach

Thanks

Re: What is the best fitting hpipe for our Machs?

i have a Pacesetter o/r h and fitment was fine
i heard from others that MAC or JBA were the two brands that fitment is really good. i think if i could do it over again i go with one of those two. one thing about the JBA one is its stainless and that is prob why i would go with it

I bet the MRT H pipe will fit perfect also.... SS too. Magnapacks & no cats will definitley be loud!. I have stock cats & packs on my 5.0 & it is perfect! Nice & aggressive at idle & progressively louder as throttle increases. Loud at WOT but we can hold a conversation at freeway speeds.

I'd recommend the MRT hi flow catted H Pipe to keep the decibels a bit under control...just my 2 cents

I had a MRT catted, perfect. I just installed a JBA on my "New" car, same, dead nuts on. My tails were perfect with stock H and LM2s I had done previously. Exactly the same spot after JBA installed on ramps, no adjusting required.

Re: What is the best fitting hpipe for our Machs?

I've had the MRT catted H on my car for over 8 years and about a month ago I had it on the lift and it looked like brand new.
PS fitment was perfect.

Re: What is the best fitting hpipe for our Machs?

How does the MRT 2 catted pipe sound compared to the stocker pipe?
With 2 cats on there I wouldnt need MIL connectors either would I?

The MRT catted H has high flow cats which give a much more aggressive sound then stock H pipes. Any after market muffler or cat-back will sound better then stock mufflers, the MRT will make stock mufflers sound better.
PS you will need the extension connectors but not MIL's, I never had a problem with emmisions inspections or check engine codes.
