Procharger F-1A

Hey guys, I have an '03 Cobra with a 5.3 big bore Boss block motor and Mach 1 timing cover. I have decided to do an F-1A kit and since I had a Mach 1 cover I'm going with that setup over the '03 Cobra. I had a few questions from you guys that have done this before:

-8-rib pulley setup, where can I get the pulleys needed for this?
-Which water pump works with the 8-rib pulleys?

You can piece the 8 rib set up together. The pullies are actually from the trucks. I ordered mine from Tasca. I used a variety of washers to line everything up.

You need the longer water pump to run the 8 rib set up.

I might have an 8 rib crank pulley from an old set up.

Re: Procharger F-1A

I wouldnt bother with the GI Joe kit, didnt work worth a **** on mine. Buy the truck pulleys as mentioned and play with shimming it yourself.

Re: Procharger F-1A

I found this over on modfords, checking part numbers now:

4.6L 4v Mach 1 8-Rib Conversion Pulleys
Name Ford Part Number Cost
Alternator pulley F65Z-10344-AA $23.02
Power steering pulley 2L3Z-3A733-AB $36.25
A/C Clutch pulley F7UZ-19D784-AA $57.52
Tensioner/Idler pulley 1L3Z-6B209-AA $56.23 (2)
Crank pulley XL1Z-6312-DA $86.12
Grooved Idler pulley F75Z6B209-EA $56.23
*Water pump pulley F6TZ-8509-AA $20.22
Total $396.86

*You will need to use a long snout Water Pump from a Pre-2000 4v or shim the pulley 22mm.

Re: Procharger F-1A

Can anyone tell me the pulley combos for an F1A to reach 25+ psi? What size/brand crank pulley? Blower pulley?

Also, the tensioner listed above is a 3-bolt design, mine needs a single bolt. Any recommendations?

I ran a Thump tensioner. I had the old one that needed to be reclocked. But once I did that it worked awesome.

For pullies I ran an ATI 12% lower (I think) and a 3.9" blower pulley. That got me 19psi on a 5.3 with full exhaust and ported intake.
