Magnaflow full bodies and ORX?

Hi there.

I have the Magnaflow system that is the full size mufflers. I love the sound, the system has about 5-700 miles on it now, and has gotten a little louder since initial install. I picked up an ORX locally for cheap with the plan of adding some bullet cats to it and throwing it on the car. My curiosity is getting the best of me, and I'm tempted to put the ORX on the car as-is. My concern however is that the car will end up being unbearable inside for my passengers. I drive my daughter to the sitter each morning and I love having her in the car. I also don't want to destroy her ears by dumping the cats. Does anyone have this Magnaflow system with an ORX and how is it? Hell, does anyone have this system even with a catted X? All I find when I search is guys with the Magnapacks and various X pipes, nobody seems to want the regular Magnaflow... Worst case I just get the cats and have them installed the day after putting the ORX on the car. Thanks all for the input.

Re: Magnaflow full bodies and ORX?

It would probably sound really good, i have magnapacks with an offroad midpipe and its loud but really not loud inside the car. I actually want to go to the normal magnaflow setup but dont want to spend that much on a whole new catback...

Re: Magnaflow full bodies and ORX?

It would most likely be a deep muscle tone but not very loud inside. I have a prochamber and SLP lm1 and it's not terrible with the windows up in the cabin at all

Re: Magnaflow full bodies and ORX?

Had a set up really close to that on my ex's 99 cobra. It sounded fantastic without being too loud.

Re: Magnaflow full bodies and ORX?

Thanks all for the input! Think when the weather improves a little I'll throw it on and give it a go. As said worst case scenario, I don't care for it and go back to stock until I figure a new plan.

Re: Magnaflow full bodies and ORX?

Ive always been a big magnaflow person due to its functionality haha. It can be the quietest muffler out there while screaming at WOT as well. but its not the loudest with the stock logs dictating. Little to no drone from inside which i like personally as i get older..

Re: Magnaflow full bodies and ORX?

Love my regular magnaflows, they have such a nice growl. Like said, they can be calm-ish or crazy. Whichever way you choose.

But since this is about a kid, I'd probably get cats too. Not only for decibels but also fumes. You might be surprised how much better a high flow x can be than a stock h.

As bad as I want to just slap the ORX on there I have in my garage, I think I'll be holding off for now until I get a plan to throw some cats on there, for the exact reason you mentioned. And yep I keep trying to find feedback on even a catted X versus stock H. Two cats HAS to be better for power than four...

Two high flow cats like magnaflows or kooks welded into an x pipe will be a big difference in sound and quite a noticeable difference in power over the stock h.

Re: Magnaflow full bodies and ORX?

I have the off road H and lower toned Flowmaster 50 series mufflers, I loved the sound but way too loud an noticable. I called Magnaflow and found out the model number of the Catts they use in there catted pipe, 99006HM 92$ each at summit. I had them installed this saturday and to me the sound is perfect.Just my story, wish you luck on finding the perfect tone
