Re: Favorite Gene Wilder movie
So many great ones, but probably Stir Crazy lol. RIP
Time goes so fast...hard to believe he was already 83.

Re: Favorite Gene Wilder movie
I thought he died years ago already. I saw Willie Wonka quite afew times back in the early 70's. I almost got to see Blazing Saddles in the theatre back in 1974, but my dad decided against it. I was only 8 back then.

Re: Favorite Gene Wilder movie
I was only 6 and the fart scene was the best thing ever back then lol. That movie was so cut up when it was shown on regular TV, it was a shame to even show it lol. I first saw it on one of the cable TV movie channels. I'm pretty sure I saw Stir Crazy that way too. Star Wars are the only movies I remember going to see in theaters until the mid 80's. Well, maybe the first Muppet movie haha.

Re: Favorite Gene Wilder movie
I didn't actually see Blazing Saddles uncut until we got HBO back in the early 80's. They couldn't make that movie today. They need to make more channels like the IFC channel. Show as many commercials as you want, but leave the movie uncut. Young Frankenstein was good, but you don't really understand the humor as a kid.

Re: Favorite Gene Wilder movie
Blazing Saddles then Young Frankenstein...then everything else in no particular order...
Blazing Saddles should be shown as required in every school in the country...teaches everyone to LAUGH at themselves... just my opinion...for what its worth...

Re: Favorite Gene Wilder movie
Silver Streak. Hardly gets a mention in any media coverage of Wilder's passing, but a really strong effort. Vintage Wilder.

Re: Favorite Gene Wilder movie
As already mentioned, he had a lot of great films. Another one I really liked was See No Evil, hear No Evil. Always loved Capt. Braddock at the end. "What do you mean I don't get to shoot them".
