Procharger kit help

Does anyone have a part number for the lower radiator hose that fits with the Procharger P1SC kit? I managed to wear a hole in my hose, but the part number can't be matched up. The part number on the hose is Motorcraft 3R3E-8A594-AA and also has a P5KYA next to the "Gates" logo.

My kit is from 2004, so I'm hoping maybe someone has a newer part number.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Procharger kit help

to be honest when i was looking for hoses and parts i just called procharger and describe what i was looking for and they were out standing to work with help and everything. i was very happy to be talking to them and dealing with them. just make sure you have your head unit serial number that will help a bunch out. good luck

Re: Procharger kit help

That's a good idea... Maybe I can get them to send me a new instruction book/parts lists too. It seems that pamphlet is always in my way, until I actually need it, and now I can't find it anywhere.

Thanks 460hpmach1!

Re: Procharger kit help

i'm sure they will send you one for free, yea i think the guy i talked to was name john, really good guy. he was helping me search down part numbers and getting everything i needed and not getting me to get BS stuff i didn't need. very helpful threw email too. but i suggest calling.

good luck on your search

if you talking bout the radiator hoses that

go from intercooler up the the coolant crossover i know they sell that in a kit for $114. but i'm sure you can just get what ever hose out of that kit and not have to do the kit itself. save some money

Re: Procharger kit help

It runs from the crossover pipe down to a metal elbowed junction connection, which goes back to the block... I'm not sure if it goes someplace else. I was pulling it off to patch it, last night at 3:00am in a storm. To be honest, I wasn't paying alot of attention to anything except that one hose. I just wanted to fix it good enough to get home. I'll take a better look tomorrow, in my garage.

There's pictures of the entire installation process on here someplace. I'll have to see if I still have them.

If its the one I am thinking of I had to replace mine as my vibration dampner rubbed a hole in it. I bought it from ford. I'll look up the part number for you.

Yep! That would be the one...

Procharger gave me 3 part numbers for Gates hoses. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a picture for any of them, to see which one I need.

As an emergency measure I was able to dig through all the hoses at Advanced Auto and found one that worked well enough to get me on the road, but doesn't fit quite right.

Thanks!

Re: Procharger kit help

I ended up having to replace the same lower hose due to the harmonic balancer rubing the hose. I suspected the launching at the track allowed the hose to flex enought to contact the balancer. I ended up buying a new lower hose from Ford. I then cut a section of the old hose, wrapped it around the new hose and zip tied it to the new hose. This way if the hose would flex, the old hose would contact the balancer and preserve the new hose. I also zip tied the lower hose to a fixed object (fan shroud I believe) to help prevent the hose from flexing under accelleration.

Re: Procharger kit help

It will be pretty obvious, now that you've heard of examples. It only sits about 1/4" from the harmonic balancer.

My plan is to buy two hoses and splice them together. I should be able to re-route the hose completely out of the way of danger. In retrospect, you would think ATI would have come up with a better setup for that hose. They're not afraid of cutting and splicing any of the other hoses.

If you splice it make sure the tube you use in the hose has a lip. My tuner spliced mine with a smooth metal tube and no matter how tight the clamps were it leaked. I did what Blown Mach did and tie wrapped it to the bar that supports the coolant tank.

I've got a couple 1.5" OD connectors with lips (single barbs). I have mine tied of like that now, but it looks a little ghetto for a Mach 1. If it was a Camaro or something like that, it would look normal.

I had the same problem with the balancer rubbing the hose.

Did anyone ever figure out the part #?

Seems impossible to find this part. Ugh.....

I'm resorting to cutting the slashed (by the crank pulley) part out and putting in a steel tube in place. That'll do the job for me.

Update. Went to NAPA auto parts store. I'm using Napa hose number 9388. Fits great. Just had to cut down one end.
