This was one ugly car!

As far as a 3.9 V-6? There is a 3.8 that's been around for a number of years that replaced the 200 L6 that replaced the 2.8 V-6 that dates back to 1974. Before that it was 170, 200, and 250 cid L6's. As far as a 3.9, I'm stumped...learn me sumpin mistah!
Here's hint Will is on the fox body Mustang. I give you end of the day to get it.

Yes, your right the 2004 Mustangs after Oct 30, 2003 have the 3.9 V6 in them. go to your local Ford Dealer on the window were the price of the Mustang is, it reads 3.9 V6 . I look under the hood it looks like the same motor, as 3.8 V6 But more hp is up to 210hp:THUMBSUP: ? SN95 Plantform or the fox4 or the fox which still is since 79 the fox 4, 2inchs wider from 83-88 T-bird plantform days for SN95 Mustangs or 94-04 Mustangs

Interesting piece of TRIVIA (and that's what this thread is all about)! I went back to my '04 Mustang brochure and noticed, that unlike the GT and Mach 1 engines, the V-6 Mustangs engine displacement is never mention, only refered to as OHV V-6. They do mention 193hp, but obviously whey were anticipating the upcoming change...

For today; what do you get when you cross a Ford Festiva and an SHO V-6? Bonus; which Mustang had a V-4 engine?

You get the Shogun I believe. My brother had a 92 Taurus SHO. Nice car but not my style.

SHOgun was right for the first. I think they made 6 or 7 of them for a ridiculous amount of $. The SHO V-6 and transaxle was actually mounted in place of the back seat!
The V-4 was in the Mustang I prototype.

And on another note, I think this is the only thread to reach 10 pages. Keep up the good work!

I do believe you're right. That's one garage I'd like to have the run of for a couple of days, especially the truly odd stuff like the Hispano-Suiza!

Not sure but a friend of mine used to have a seafoam green festiva. Terribly ugly car and it didn't even have power steering. That was a fun car to parallel park.

Yeah, there were a numer of road test back then. I think it was even on the cover of one of the major magazines back then. Rich Titus was the driving force behind the program, now he's hawking Ford minivans on TV...what a shame!

For today; what year(s) could you get a turbocharged engine in a Mustang?

How about 79-81 for the first gen turbo with 132 hp(only 8 less than the 5.0 2V offered in 79, and 13 more than the 80/81 255 V-8). No turbo was offered in '82, which showcased the new 157hp 5.0 HO 2V. In 83 the 5.0 got a 4V carb and 175hp, and was joined by an EFI turbo that put out 145hp that stayed in the line until 85. The hi-tech SVO (which also had the first 4 wheel disc brakes on a production Mustang) went from 84-86 with its' intercooled 2.3 175hp engine later was treated to mods that would bring it to a very respectable 205hp in 85 1/2 but dropped back to 200 in '86.

That look suspiciously like Lady Penelope's car from the "Thunderbirds" movie based on the Gerry Anderson supermarionation series of the same name from the UK.

Lady Penelope originally drove a pink Rolls in the TV series. The movie is being directed by Jonathan Frakes who played William Riker, first officer of the USS Enterprise on Star Trek:TNG.

'99 35th Anniv. had hood stripe. '00 Feature GT had a reversed version of the '99 stripe. '03 and '04 Mach 1's have the '70 style hood stripe. '04 40th Anniv. car has a really cheesy set of LeMans looking stripes that look like they were on sale at Pep Boys. Any of these qualify?

You got half right, you got one more to go Ford made it on the Mustang for six months and it was on the convert too and the wheels on this on this Mustang are very rare.

There was a Boss style hockey stick stripe option for the GT around '00 that you rarely see. That it?
