left wheel wobbles on dyno
Hey guys, haven't posted in a while things have been a little crazy at home.
I finally got my Mach1 dyno tuned by somebody who really knows what he is doing (Frank Soldridge of PSI ). The car laid down just under 600whp when it ran outta fuel. Anyway the driver side rear wheel was wobbling. They told me not to worry about it as they have seen it in other cars and I probably hit a pothole or something and bent the axle. I hardly drive the car let alone anywhere where i'd find a pothole plus I have moser axles. It is possible that the guy who put my car together hit a pothole I guess, would a 31 spline moser axle really bend from a pot hole? Do you guys know of any other reason that one wheel would wobble on the dyno? Thanks guys hope you all had a merry Christmas! |

Re: left wheel wobbles on dyno
Wheel itself could be bent. If they want an axle I’d be more inclined to think they slid sideways into something vs a pot hole

Re: left wheel wobbles on dyno
Thanks DSG, I had the same wheels on the car prior to building it when I lived in NY and they do have their share of curb rash plus I wouldn't be surprised if I hit a few potholes when it was stock but with the same wheel/tire combo.

Re: left wheel wobbles on dyno
easiest trouble shooting would probably be to take that wheel off and have it thrown on a balancer

Re: left wheel wobbles on dyno
Also could be rust/debris on mounting surface preventing wheel or rotor from sitting flat.

Re: left wheel wobbles on dyno
Swap the rear wheels, inspect for rust/dirt on rotor. Should be able to spin the rear wheels by hand and if the problem moves, it’s a bent wheel.
