I understand that an aftermarket performance chip does, however handheld flash tuners should not since with them you can restore the stock tune to your vehicle should you need to return it to a dealer for service.

Plain and simple.....a warranty can't be voided unless the delaer can prove that the part you added caused a failure. Not to say that some dealers wont give you a hard time. Some of them will.

Of what you mentioned the only thing my Dealer would allow is the Flowmasters, they said a chip, CAI, headers, aftermarket Xpipe with or without cats would void my engine warranty.

If the dealer is giving you a hard time, change delears if you can.
I had a modded GT and the 3 dealers that I took it to never gave me a hard time. There are delaers in my area that actually do aftermarket work on Mustangs. So needless to say, the are mod friendly. Bottom line is that they can't void it unless they can prove tha part caused the failure. It's against the law for them to void it just because you have an aftermarket part on your car.

I have the K&N Aircharger installed too, removed the PCV hose and breather tube from the valve covers, and have a SLP catback waiting to be installed. I have kept all of the stock parts from performance mods in case they have to be re-installed for warranty work. The way mileage is racking up the warranty period may be up sooner than I thought it might anyway.

1) There is only one Dealer in my area . . . . .

2) What you say may be true but you have to spend $$$ on a Lawyer, take the time to go to court, which could tie up the use of your car for months and then it's their word against yours, not many Judges are going to lean towards avg joe over the Ford Trained Professionals either.

That's the catch....Ford can out spend you. But what I said is true....it is against the law.

Sorry to hear that you don't have other dealers to choose from. I'm fortunate enough to have no less than 7 dealers to choose from. Keep your fingers crossed that you dont have to go in for warranty work.
