If you want a stock looking one this is not it. I bought a replacement from there, and didnt realize it didn't have the stock finish'. It looks good, but I was surprised when I got it in.

its not bad looking. Got mine over a year ago and it still looks good. Get one while they're cheap.

I ordered mine fom American muscle. The design is more thick- I think it's a little better quality than stock. I have a replacement coming this Friday because the one that came was scratched to heck! I saw that late model restoration sells what appears to be both the thick one or the stock looking one. I think it's the same price after shipping.

I had gotten the old AM one and it looks just like factory. Those new ones kinda suck. I would check with Tousley and see what they can offer

when I saw the finish was different I just PMed birdman...was worth the extra $ to me and they ship it in a box big enough they dont have to fold it in half before sending it to you

My replacement chin spoiler arrived. Although an improvement over the last one, this one was also showing a few scratch marks and blemishes. AM was kind enough to at least discount it from $100 to the current sales price of $75 (upon my request). It seems ALL the chin spoilers are going to have light scratches. I'm a little upset because I don't like buying new things in used condition, but its not too bad, and the price is hard to beat. I think its a quality contol issue from the manufacturer, and it looks like the cheaper one on LMRS is the same. I'll post pics when it's on.

My brand new in the bag and box ford chin has a few real light scuffs in it, seems like they just scuff easy..nothing big though and doesnt show up as much with the stock finish

Anyone who bought the American muscle chin spoiler have to drill any holes? It seems like it might match up, but on the other hand I think I saw a smaller hole in the middle that might be new....??

Sorry it took so long, but I finally got my AM chin spoiler on. My thoughts:
1) it is shiny black, but I just re-did my stripe, so I think it looks great.
2) luckily, the pre-drilled holes did match up with the factory holes BUT...
3) Aligning the new unit required stretching each hole to the factory holes. It was REALLY TIGHT, but that helps it keep the bumper in line.
4) I suggest prying the old clips down just enough to cut them. snip them off.
5) the new hardware of nuts, bolts, and washers is an upgrade over the push in clips, but some of the bolts were hard to access (like the ones under the fog lights. I had to reach in the fender from near the wheel well, push the nut until it contacted the bolt, then slide it on top of the bolt using my finger tips. It took a few minutes!).
6) I highly recommend a ratcheting wrench, or you might hate your life!
7) the new unit does not match up exactly to the end of the bumper by the wheel well. Not a big deal to me.
8) it seems to be more firm than the factory one, which keeps the waves out. At our get together today with 2 other Mach 1s I was very proud it looked soo new.
I will try to get some better pictures up soon.
