Blank Saleen VIN Plate - Update - Sold!
Wow! This was a very interesting experience. The first time I listed it, it was a no sale at 132.50. So I listed it again with no reserve. A few days into the auction I get an email for eBay telling me that my auction had been canceled by SALEEN through the VERO program. Seems SALEEN was very upset that this item was listed for sale. (I know, I know.... Ya'll told me so). SALEEN claimed that the plate that I was selling was counterfeit.
This is an excerpt of the email I received. "We would like to let you know that we removed your listing: 7932170493 New Unstamped Saleen ID Badge - Underhood because a Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) Program participant notified us, under penalty of perjury, that your listing offers a counterfeit or unauthorized item that violates a trademark." Needless to say I was extremely pissed off! I called eBay and went off on a major rant. I wanted to know how it was possible for SALEEN to cliam I was in possesion of a counterfeit item when they havent even seen the item. I explained to eBay that I was "Power Seller" and had a perfect 100% feedback and that I wouldnt even consider listing a counterfeit item. eBay reveresed their original decession and reopened my auction. The auction ended yesterday and the plate sold for $202.50 plus freight!!! |

Glad to hear that eBay gave proper consideration to your 100% positive status on the site, and congratulations on the sale.
