Re: Tuning question
I have a tune in my hand held tuner for 60lb injectors it's the same tune I have in my car now with the 80's just wantt to make sure I phrased my question right earlier. I know people get email tunes all the time with their specifics. ??

Re: Tuning question
If your tuner gave it to you and he tuned the last car I suspect it would be good enough to limp to the shop for a dyno tune. It should go without saying, but do not do any WOT pulls, just keep your foot out of it.
I had a start up tune made when I did mine and limped it to the shop for the dyno tune, mine was a major change and I did just fine. Meaning, new motor, stock injectors to 80lbs, went from NA to Turbo... etc. But I also had an A/F gauge that I watched closely, started it up, idled until it was warm, drove it around the block to make sure it was good while monitoring the A/F. I only had 10 miles to drive to the Dyno. If you plan on daily driving it with without a dyno tune, then I would not do that. But, that is just me. Again, if it is to limp it to the shop, then that should be fine. (pending distance of course) This all assumes your Tuner knew exactly what injectors you put in there and he knows from experience what to load up. Why are you dropping injector sizes?

Re: Tuning question
80's dump too much fuel at idle and low rpms I know people have mixed thoughts about this some say it's in the tune others a hardware issue I don't expect great gas mileage but 11mpg too low for a daily driver I've had 3 different tuners at one pint or another gas mileage stays about the same even if I stay out of boost.
