2020 Corvette. What do you think?

Be interesting to see if the specs they gave during the unveiling is true. All in all I would have to see one in person 😋

Re: 2020 Corvette. What do you think?

I think it looks pretty good, but I will say that it looks typical supercar-like. I was into the supercars when I was young for sure, but not so much now. I'm curious though, is this what the people who buy Corvettes want or what Chevy wanted to do? are they doing it to spark social media interest, like the new Ford GT has? I heard that the Vette will go back to being a front engine setup, so it's a bit confusing to me.

They didn’t fully disclose the pricing, but they said during the reveal it will start under 60k.

Re: 2020 Corvette. What do you think?

The enthusiasts waiting for the mid-engine Corvette are kinda like us in that we've been waiting for a new Mach 1 since 2004. Rumors are killing us.

Now would be the perfect time to buy a 2019 Corvette.

I think it is pretty sweet! 0-60 under 3 seconds, price under 60 K Sounds like a heck of a bang for the Buck!

Styling aside, it's an impressive engineering feat at the starting price. I look forward to seeing how it is packaged and how the options add up.

It's definitely a supercar look. I still like the front-engined cars of the C5-C7 very much though.

Re: 2020 Corvette. What do you think?

My first thought was that someone at GM stole the Ford GT blueprints.

Car looks good to me and the specs are incredible. Price is absolutely insane, it continues to be a performance bargain. I’m really looking forward to when the big brothers come out.

Re: 2020 Corvette. What do you think?

I think it's a game changer.

I've never been a huge 'Vette fan. Always hated them, actually. But the C7 kind of started drawing me in a little bit. And the LS engines are just SOOOO easy to work on compared to Ford stuff, which I've learned the hard way over the last few years.

A mid-engine supercar, American V8, 0-60 in under 3 seconds, starting at $59k and then going up from there. That's a serious game changer. I truly think the Supra is DOA, the Mustang GT500 has a serious problem on it's hands, the Camaro may actually get cancelled again soon, and the Hellcat is going to see huge discounts now.

The pricing on Mustang/Camaro/Challenger in general was getting way out of control. This new Corvette will put a stop to all that.

I'm not a GM fan. Quite the opposite actually. But, good job GM. Well done, very well done.

Although, I think a good percentage of GT500 fans are not the same people who buy Corvettes. I do think that has been changing over the last 5 years or so. That's a good point, it certainly could change Fords pricing strategy on the Mustang in all flavors.

Re: 2020 Corvette. What do you think?

Well the ad said at first the starting price would be $50,000. Car is not even in showroom yet and went to $ 60,000. Several dealers around here are putting a Dealer mark-up of up to $10,000.They also are making customer waiting lists by who pays the largest deposit.

Re: 2020 Corvette. What do you think?

Honestly, never been interested in corvettes.

I think what GM did here is a good thing for the market and for hot rodding in general. If it makes everyone else’s cars better and helps reel-in some of the prices we are seeing today, then the vette serves a good purpose...

Maybe Ford will revisit the v-8 in the Ford GT that none of us mere mortals can buy anyway...

Otherwise...it’s still a vette, and with all that new tech will likely spend half or more of it’s life in the service department chasing down gremlins like most of them do

Re: 2020 Corvette. What do you think?

Looks too much like the European supercars. It lost its unique look. To me the interior is just another in the current string of ugly interiors by GM.

Re: 2020 Corvette. What do you think?

I think it is absolutely incredible that they managed a car like that under $60k. I won't ever buy one, but I do look forward to seeing the GTE/GTLM conversion of the car to WEC/IMSA spec. Its gonna be a ringer, I can feel it. Unlike a certain M8 GTLM car I know...
