3.2 p1sc pulley questions

Looking into getting a 3.2 pulley for my p1. Will that small of a pulley have belt slip? I have a thump RRR tensioner. How much boost will I see? And will it overspin the head unit?

Re: 3.2 p1sc pulley questions

yes, you will likely have belt slip issues. Might be better off buying a 10% OD crank pulley (go ahead and get an 8rib for later down the road..you can run a 6rib belt on it)

heres a blower rpm calculator

http://ls1tech.com/forums/attachment...calculator.zip

youll have to look up the max impeller speed for that blower, i dont know it off hand

I dont know why you guys are experiencing belt slip. I have installed many 3.2 pulleys on Marauders and no problems/slip WHATSOEVER!!!

i think he is looking at the pulley i'm selling and with it being a Reichard racing ultra grip pulley and him already having the thump tensioner i don't see belt slip as a problem, i don't have the problem any more since i put the ultra grip pulley on and the thump tensioner and i'm only running 6 rib

Re: 3.2 p1sc pulley questions

I never run my car past 6200 rpm Anyway (5spd). It's stock heads stock intake car. I'm just wanting enough to hopefully see 600 on the Dyno

Re: 3.2 p1sc pulley questions

the RR pulley should make a huge difference!

i looked into an RR pulley but they cant bother to answer their phone or an email so to hell with em

600 with a P1 seems a little iffy imho, running E85?

with p1 i don't see you hitting the 600 mark, on a d1 its close on a loaded dyno i was at 554rwhp and on a dyno jet would have been close to 600

Re: 3.2 p1sc pulley questions

What were the mods done to your car? Mines a 5.0 w 10-1 compression, the blocks been decked, header back bassani, 98 cobra cams and I'll prob have the intake ported later. Before I blew the car I'm pretty sure I was making 480+ on the stock motor at 10lbs. They guy I bought the kit from made 475/440 on the same set up I had and mine ran a lot better than his. But we'll see, Mid 5's would be alright but I might have to go w the d1 sooner than I thought
