Seat lowering brackets?

Has anyone lowered the seats in their Mach 1? I've heard of someone making lowering brackets but I have not been able to find any searching the internet. Just wondering if anyone here has had success with being able to lower the seats in their vehicle. I love the factory Mach 1 seats, I just wish I could have him sit a little bit lower in the car.

Cool Re: Seat lowering brackets?

There were brackets that moved the seats back not down.

Re: Seat lowering brackets?

when i had my seat out to install my fiore quadrant i looked into doing a little bit of surgery on the power seat frame
there's not enough metal to remove to make an improvement to really be worthwhile

i've been told that a non-power seat frame has some room for about 1" of lowering
but i never got any further in my investigation (buying a frame and doing some cutting & welding)

Re: Seat lowering brackets?

I know you want to keep the stock seats but for what it's worth I had corbeaus in my last mustang with the corbeau bracket, they sat quite a bit power. I imagine It wouldn't be too difficult to modify the corbeau bracket to fit the oem seats. I initially made a bracket to convert the stock brackets to work with the corbeaus, took nothing more than a few well placed holes, some bolts, and some 1/4 steel from Home Depot.

Re: Seat lowering brackets?

If I get a chance I'll try and measure the height of the corbeau bracket tomorrow for you.
