Re: trac-loc

I assume that you put your 4.10s in with the stock carrier and axles. If you get the 31 spline diff you'll need 31 spline axles and an install kit as well

Re: trac-loc

How many miles on it. I have a brand new 31 spline cobra diff with the carbon fiber packs sitting here. I just need to get rid of it. I paid 200 and thats all I want.

I assume your talking about the one out of the 1993-1995 Lightnings..? those will work in your mach, they were 8.8's..you may have to remove the ABS ring off the carrier, if it wont clear your houseing, but I dont see why it would'nt. The ones in 1999-2004 Lightnings will not work.. they did not put 8.8's in the Gen 2's..they put 9.75 in them..

Our Mach's ABS rings(2) are located on the ends of our axles by the flanges.. The Gen 1 Lightnings only had rear ABS so its ring(1) was located on the carrier itself.. Since you are going with aftermarket alxes you can reuse the ones on your old axle or buy new ones.. I use the rings off my old axles and the wheel studs, was not hard to remove them, when I went to hammer out my old studs out my old axle, I just use them to hammer the rings off the axle too then hammered the rings on to my new axle.. The ABS ring on the Gen 1 carrier wont be used at all..and from what I remember should not cause a clearence problem in our Mach's houseing..
