Have a question about my door speakers and FAD/Balanace

I have no idea if Ford wired it this way but, when I adjust the fad to the rear speakers only, my front door speakers remain on. My highs/tweeters are blown, so when I adjust the fad to the front only, I have zero sound. I have an aftermarket Pioneer double din (nothing fancy) I installed about a year ago, but I’ve had the fad “problem” with the stock head unit. So is this correct? Or do I have bad wiring somewhere? I bought my car used back in ‘08, so I have no idea what the previous owner(s) may have done. Any help, feedback, info would be greatly appreciated!
