Looking at my belt, it's misaligned. It wobbles back and for a little on the blower pulley. I just don't know how to fix it.

Even if its a quick change pulley its my understanding that the quick change hub is still pressed on. I would suppose that leaves several possibilities quick change hub isnt fully seated Pulley isnt fully seated on quick change hub you have an incorrect pulley if its not a quick change hub the pulley isnt fully pressed on

Did you buy the pulley used or new?

Re: I wish I never did this eaton swap
for what its worth, the local mustang shop here said it would be around $100 to laser align all my pullies with my centrifugal kit. It may worthwhile to call around and see if anyone can do this.
Have you checked whatever pullies are immediately before and immediately after the blower pulley? I would imagine if one of those was off it could cause the belt to walk across the blower pulley but I might be wrong

Re: I wish I never did this eaton swap
You know it's going to be either the belt or the pulleys.
Have you tried just starting it with removing the blower belt and see if it stops? Next I would do the serpentine belt. Let's you know where to start looking closer. |

Re: I wish I never did this eaton swap
Finally starting to get issues fixed. My belt was a little too small and there was coolant/oil on my pulleys and belt. After a power wash and belt change it seems to be done squeaking, hopefully that sticks. Found a little leak on a PVC and hopefully fixing that will fix my idle problems. Once thats out of the way maybe I can get my tune fixed, I really want my WOT tune but my a/f never really get below 13.

Re: I wish I never did this eaton swap
Once you get to a certain point with mods it costs a hell of a lot of money to keep it running as a daily driver. I could never daily drive my car with my mods. I have a F150 as a daily and only drive the Mach when I want. Once you have the bugs Ironed out you should be able to dd yours the way you have it modded buy I would stop there. I have had issues the minute I started with the SC but now that all the problems are ironed out it was absolutely worth all the crap. Good luck!

Re: I wish I never did this eaton swap
sorry to hear about your problems, there is a great shop/dyno place in Auburn WA called blood enterprise, great people I've dealt with. the mustang shop I wouldn't even mess with going to them, wouldn't even let them do a oil change on my car after what I dealt with them.
also like other has said welcome to the mod world, it sucks and when I started really modding mine it was painful and stressful. that is another reason why I traded the mach off and went to stock car, just a lot of money and stressful for me and i'm still happy where i'm at, now if money was right then I would have prob kept the mach, just cuz I love that car and would be fun to have it, but i'm with no regrets on getting my GT, keep it simple mods post up on here, bunch of guys have done eaton swap, keep us posted on your progress good or bad good luck ASh

Finally have the squeak gone for good. The final issue was my alternator pulley was a little off and had to put a washer in. Been squeak free for about 3 weeks now!
