Belt Help (108.5" belt anyone?)
Hey folks. In my ongoing battle against belt slip and shredded belts I recently put on a Thump RRR tensioner and a 3.70" pulley on my D1 (all other pulleys / drives stock). Problem is the Gates K061080 is about 1 mm too short to work (trust me I tried and tried) and the K061098 works...but feels like it might be a hair too long. The effective length of the K061098 is like 108.9 inches or something like that...and the effective length of the K061080 I think is right about 108".... SO after (literally) endless searching I have been unable to find a 6 rib belt of decent quality between the lengths of 108" & 109". Any help here folks? I'm considering over-driving some pulley by 10% to gain that extra hair to get the 108" to fit lol.

Re: Belt Help (108.5" belt anyone?)
Wow that V3 must add a little more to the belt track- According to this that is a ~112.5" belt. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=150443_0_0_
I had found a post from 2004 on another forum stating that Summit Racing could order custom Goodyear Gatorback belts in any .5" increment... I am here to report that that is incorrect. I received a reply back from Summit saying they only had access to 108 & 109" belts, and couldn't custom order so maybe something has changed there. SOOOO... I might be SOL and might have to find a way to shorten up the belt routing a bit.
