A Little Carnage...
Well... I finally got the broken axle out of the car last night. Thought I'd share a picture...

I can tell from the rounded end on the bigegst piece that you had to roll the car back around to the pits. Of my two times, the first allowed me to muscle the car onto a trailer, so the broken end was nearly perfectly preserved.
Doubt I made it to 300 passes with the Mach 1 before the 2009 breakage, but a familiar sight.... |

I dont think so. I seem to remember from one of the articles that he was running 31 splined units.
I think he was also on drag radials which will shock the rear end harder then bias ply tires.

well you broke the hell out of it, are you going with the same brand or going with something diff, i just had my rear end built up, i used moser though, i don't drag the mach that much, but better to be safe than sorry.
