sorry Russ if you didn't want this out there, but i member you said something
i talked with Russ early today and his wife came out of hip replacement surgery good. just wanted to keep her in our prays for a safe and fast recover from this.

Thanks for the prayers and good wishes my friends. Day one is almost over.The first four hours after surgery were ruff. My wife had a bad reaction to Morphine and almost went into shock. After changing her pain killer her vital signs stabilized. Thank the good Lord.

Day two has gone really well for such major surgary. She is up and about and feels much better. Thanks again for all the well wishes.

Not to overload you folks with our problems but I just had my hand fixed.

DRUG CLASS AND MECHANISM: Xiaflex is an injectable formulation of purified collagenase derived from the bacterium, clostridium histolyticum. It is used for treating Dupuytren's contracture. A Dupuytren's contraction is caused by an abnormal accumulation of collagen (scar) in the tissue beneath the skin of the palm of the hand. The collagen binds the tissue to the skin of the palm, limiting the movement of the skin over the underlying tissues and preventing extension of the fingers. Collagenase is an enzyme that breaks down collagen. Xiaflex breaks down excessive collagen by disrupting its chemical structure. Reducing the accumulation of collagen improves movement of the affected fingers. The FDA approved Xiaflex in February 2010.

So very sorry to hear about your hand, but it is a great blessing that we live in a time and place where those things can be attended to properly. I'm quite sure that the healing process for the both of you will be helped along by the love of life you both share...and we all appreciate your sharing that love with us.

Thanks John, very much. When I read or see the pain some of us have to deal with in our lives and there are too many, I cry inside. So for those of you out there suffering I will keep you in my prayers.
