Re: Saleen=Kaput
I just read he has a new company called SMS Supercars. They are working on the 2010 Mustang platform.

Kinda agree with that but you still have alot of people who buy saleens an not really mess with them much since they were "upgraded" from stock, an ALOT of people wont buy a car with no warrenty even if it only has a few miles, stuff can always break...

If I was financially able to, I wouldn't mind buying a top of the line Saleen for a fraction of the cost! If something does go wrong, who knows, maybe it might be cheaper to buy the part and fix it, then paying full price for that same car. Anyway, being the speed junkie I am, it wouldn't say "stock" for long anyway LoL

Re: Saleen=Kaput
I see many lawsuits being filed over this. When you buy a company, you buy the debts as well as the assets. So I don't think it will fly that they come in and buy the good stuff and leave all the bad stuff behind. Contracts don't work that way.

Re: Saleen=Kaput
Not true at all. You buy what you agree to buy. They have no obligation to provide warranty coverage. They'd have to sue the Saleen corporation that has no assets any longer. They are SOL.

Re: Saleen=Kaput
How is this even legal?
Call me crazy, but doesn't this violate terms and conditions upon entering a contract? Contractual obligation? Maybe I'm misunderstanding this, but how can anything but a NEW saleen bought prior to that announcement not be covered under warranty?
