trans problem 3650
Ok here we go. Current set up is centerforce df clutch upr quadrant with firewall adj. Trans filled with the propper amount of "secret sauce" and clutch is adjusted properly. Car will not let me go into first or reverse unless it isnt running or moving. With the car off it is fine. When it is running and I try to put it in 1st or reverse the car will actually start to roll forward or backward. But now this is where it gets strange some days when it sounds like the tob is making noise it goes right into gear. so wht do ya think?

Mine was giving me a little trouble going into gear, so bought the clutch free play elimination kit (basically a spring that pushes on the clutch fork so the T/O bearing is pushed away from the diaphram fingers). The reason it helped so much was that I was able to get the T/O bearing very close to the diaphram fingers without touching. THUS I am sure the clutch fork is traveling the full range.
Another thing I did was adjust my short throw shifter (MGW). I think the angle I had the handles fixed made it hard to put it into gear straight. I am still waiting for my fiore firewall adjuster, so it's a lot better, but not perfect yet. This was my experience - hopefully it will spark some kind of ideas for you :ORANGE:

Isnt that a safety feature so tyat u dont mess up ur trans? i believe u are supposed to be at a full stop to go into reverse and mine wont let me go into first if i am going anything over liike 10mph

In this situation I would def take it out and inspect. Something is wrong. Sorry about stating the obvious, but you'll be surprised when you take some things back apart.
