Re: College Football back in full swing!
It was a great game (coaches aside) Bama hung in there longer than I thought they would. I hated to see them lose but maybe next year. I agree with Hester being good, I couldnt belive LSU went away from him. I figured with 7 mins to go when we had the ball around the 50 they would go conservitive and they did. Then when we punted they quit blitzing and played a soft zone and Flynn picked them apart. Good game anyways.

Yea, Bama has a shot next year in Death Valley... that's the funniest thing I've heard all year.

Re: College Football back in full swing!
to Ohio State...
But, unless we get totally stupid and blow a 'rent-a-win' game tonight, we should see #1 status again...almost as bad as being #2 this year! Go Bama, too... This year is exhausting! (Can't believe we're going to have to drive all the way to New Orleans this season to take a Nat'l Championship! That's over an hour away! )

Re: College Football back in full swing!
Finally, we beat FSU and bobby bowden. Been looking forward to playing them in Lane stadium ever since going down to Jacksonsville and listening to that stupid tomahawk chop for four quarters.

Re: College Football back in full swing!
As much as I hate/can't stand/don't really care for Florida (but not nearly as much as 'Bama), I do think Tebow should be the top candidate for the Heisman. He's got some real athletic abilities and should make any pro team proud when it comes draft time. Just glad we mon't be meeting them again in Atlanta...

Re: College Football back in full swing!
THanks, I just hope we dont choke against uva and make it too the acccg. Would like to see LSU vs Oregon in the national championship game. I think you would blow out any of the teams from the big 12. Who do think yall would match up best against?

Re: College Football back in full swing!
The general consensus seems to be Oregon, but Kansas is still a strong possiblity depending on how the rest of the season plays out. We have Ole Miss and Arkansas left, and I still hope to see the Tigers run them both but there is no given in college football (see: All top 10 teams for the 2007 season; Ohio State vs Illinois, LSU vs Kentucky, etc.), so the challenge is still there. After that, the SEC championship game in Atlanta will probably put us against Georgia. Again, no given there either. This season is far from over for anyone in the top 10 or so, and I'm really surprised at the talk about Ohio States loss puts them completely out of the BCS championship game! They're just another one loss team, like the rest of us. Their only sin was to lose so late in the season. Don't count them out yet...

Re: College Football back in full swing!
How can you show up with that kind of effort on your last game in the orange bowl. No way uva is 48 points better. they lost to wyoming and got lucky in their win against middle tenn. state

Re: College Football back in full swing!
They're out because they play a soft schedule this year. Their schedule is ranked 63rd, compared to Oregon's 13th and LSU's 12th. That's why they're out. We're in control of our own destiny. We have more quality wins than Oregon and a harder schedule. If we win out, we're in. And I'll be there Already got plans to be in Atlanta for the first for the SEC championship God I love football season.

Re: College Football back in full swing!
What a lousy year to be #2 in the rankings! Oregon falls to an unranked team (Arizona, who is on a roll), making it five of those who've knocked off a #2 team this year. Not to mention our getting knocked out of #1 earlier this season by an unranked Kentucky team. I'm almost afraid to see what this coming weekend will bring...

Re: College Football back in full swing!
That stinks for Oregon. They were rolling in the first quarter until Dixon went down with his knee injury. Must be pretty bad because his dad came down from the stands onto the sideline. Dixon was pretty upset/crying. Team never recovered. That Leaf guy was horrible for the DUcks. Feel bad for Dixon, probably lost a Heisman trophy and chance at NC.

Re: College Football back in full swing!
He may have just handed the Heisman to Tebow. Not that I hate that, but you always hate to see a great player like Dixon get injured.

I mean...really! UL-Monroe??? Who's next, the Kinder-Care pee-wee team?
Guess we won't be playing Oklahoma in New Orleans for the Nat'l Championship in January. It has serious overtones of Deja Vu...

WRECK 'EM TECH
TECH 34 OU 27 Looks like no more hopes for a shot at the national title for the Sooners. At least one good thing came out of this season for tech.

Re: College Football back in full swing!
THis year is proof that BCS does not work. Need an playoff this year. I can think of 6-8 teams that have a claim/chance at national championship. Still not sure why it can work for the smaller Ncaa division schools and not the big boys. There would still be plenty of money to be made by the different bowls

Re: College Football back in full swing!
For us this year is proof that no matter how good you are, or think you are, stupid penalties and poor coverage will get you beat. We'll probably end up in New Orleans for a bowl...just not the weekend we wanted to be there. This should be another interesting football Saturday...
And, oh yeah...good work, Aggies!
