Friend of mine approached with an interesting idea

So, I have a friend of mine with a 2012 Boss 302.
He is about to upgrade to 15” rotors and a different caliper.

He approached me about taking his stock stuff and converting the Mach to the stock Boss 302 front rotors and calipers.

Referenced a company called Fullytorqued racing who has a kit to retrofit a gt500 14” rotor and an s197 caliper to our cars.

Completely unnecessary modification, but....parts except for the kit from fullytorqued are free...

Just interested in everyone’s thoughts...

They may not fit with your wheels but idk free is good and if you have stock calipers it would be a nice upgrade

If they’ll clear the rims I’d do that in heartbeat

Yeah, ^agree. Assuming the kit from Fukkytorqued isn’t outrageous $$$, I would do this too, especially if you don’t already have a brake upgrade setup.

Re: Friend of mine approached with an interesting idea

Kit is @ 200$

I should have no issues getting the correct offset wheels as I know WR sells my wheel in s197 offsets. Just not sure if they have the gloss black ones.

One advantage of the Fr5 wheel is it clears the 01-Cobra R caliper no problem. If I remember correctly I sold a set of 18x9 fr 5 wheels to a local guy when I worked part time at Wheel Replicas, with a 2009 Gt500. He had room to spare.

Not going to happen anytime real soon, probably a mid summer project
