No its not lol and no I didn't. My car is in storage for winter. No heat in the storage unit. Plus it's been cold as hell here. Gonna be a month or so before I install it.

I saw one similar to yours on Instagram. The difference was that it had color matched "Mach 1" to his stang. I thought that was pretty cool, but I'm not sure if I'd go for that. I kinda like it better like yours.

I vote Velcro if that matters lol. I think it would be nice to be able to remove it for cleaning.

Re: Got My Trunk Lid Mat In The Mail Today

Got mine in the mail yesterday. He does a great job!!
I've been looking at the Flush Mount Panel clips on line but can't measure yet to see what they line up with as the car is in storage.
Might go to Home Depot to see if they have some there to play around with.

Re: Got My Trunk Lid Mat In The Mail Today

I installed my home made one with a box of Extreme velcro. It cost me around $10 and I have no issues with it falling. My mat is made out of 1/4 plywood. http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...=trunk+lid+mat

Believe me, I can't wait for the pimp carpet to take the trip lol.
I'm finally gonna try to get mine installed this weekend. I'm gonna swing by Lowes and get a couple packs of extreme velcro.

Re: Got My Trunk Lid Mat In The Mail Today

way off topic, and not about the green carpet but... where did you get the dog mat for the couch? We have a husky puppy (6 months old) and now the rain is here and the couch got muddy... I immediately thought of you and your dog from this picture.

Re: Got My Trunk Lid Mat In The Mail Today

Like the trunk lid mat.

3M makes a Velcro product called interlock, it get it in a 1 inch wide strip. That holds pretty much everything. It can be a bit thick, but it works great. Other then that the 3M 2 sided tape is really good, same stuff is on the Vent Visors and gutter guards and lasts out in the elements for years. Its a gray colored tape usually with a red peel off covering on it.

Re: Got My Trunk Lid Mat In The Mail Today

I picked up 2 packs of 3m industrial extreme Velcro at lowes yesterday for like 10 bucks or so. Each piece is supposed to hold 20lbs so I think it should work good. Waiting for a warm dry day to install it. It snowed here last night.

That sucks on snow, almost pulled T-tops off today, was warm enough, but did not pull em, because of it being a short drive where I went.
Soon grasshopper, very soon you will be adding your part

I have used that 3M double sided tape for many things and it holds up amazing, gone through car wash with wife SUV and it holds up every time. very strong stuff and never had any faults with it so far.

Re: Got My Trunk Lid Mat In The Mail Today

I made my trunk mat out of 1/4 plywood, half inch foam and felt so it may weigh a little more than this mat. I installed mine about a year ago using extreme velcro and it is still holding strong.

It for sure looks good, I like the ones with the color on the mach 1 lettering that I have seen, but that looks better than not having anything.
very nice
