Cobra cam install

Hey guys I'm getting ready to tackle the cobra intake cam install next week and had a few questions. Iv got 01 cobra cams to put in so the cam gears are the same and I got new bolts for the intake cams. In my head I'm thinking remove valve covers, loosten cam bolt on intake cam, remove the cradles holding the cams down, and then I'm not so sure. Is there enough room to wiggle the intake cam out/ put the new one back in? I also see the term dot to dot thrown around and I'm not sure what this means. Is this referring to the notch in the cam and the tit in the gear? I'm sure I could figure it out once I'm in there as far as just taking more apart but I'm just curious as to if I need more parts. I have new valve cover gaskets, new intake cam bolts, 01 cobra cams, anything else? I would obviously also mark everything up before I take it apart to make sure it is timed right going back in.
Thanks

Re: Cobra cam install

Dot to Dot install means you install the cams at factory specs lining up the dots on the gears. It is preferable to install the cams and then degree them to get the most performance. The dot to dot install methods leaves potential gains on the table.

Did you look at my sticky in the engine section? Should help you a lot on your journey.
