Deader Than A Door Nail

I went to club get-together last night. Got home and shut off car and went to bed. Got up this morning to get somethings out of the trunk. FOB didn't open trunk. FOB wouldn't open door. Gotta be FOB needs a battery. Opened to to start the car. No such luck. Looked at the light switch and of course it was still on.

Guess I need to drive the Mach 1 more often so I can remember to turn off the lights. Looked at my battery receipt and battery was 8 years old. Almost as old as my tires!

I'll be out Monday morning getting another Motorcraft from the Ford dealer. The bright side is I get to clean behind and under the battery tray.

Don't forget anti seize on that hold down bolt. Hopefully you did that already and it comes out without a fight or breaking.

Are there pretty good car meets in Waco?

I had no problem with hold down bolt. It took forever cause it is so long.

Of course all the car shows have canceled but some of the smaller towns (like Riesel, Mexia, and Groesbeck) are still having theirs. They are in different countries with nearly zero cases so the governors mandate does not apply. Attendance is about half but at least you can get out.

I went to a Sonic Drive In in Ft Worth a couple of weeks ago. They had 95 cars but no lights in the parking lot so you couldn't see anything. It was 8 - 11pm.

Labor Day Monday they have show in Burleson at the Lynn Smith Chevrolet dealership. You get to park under their blue canopies so that is nice. It is voted on by car owners so I have no chance. But I get to see different cars. They had over 300 cars last year.
