Picked up an 03 Azure Blue

Well bit the bullet and finally joined the Mach 1 club, actually the Mustang club in general as this is my first. Car is really clean 5sp with 33k and some change on it Pretty much stock with the following:

-C and L CAI
-SLP loudmouth w off-road X-pipe, no cats
-Touchscreen Pioneer Radio (adds tons of HP I know)
-FR500's with Nitto's 315's rear and 275's up front (all new)

I'm the 3rd owner, looks like the previous threw the intake and exhaust on and put the O2 sensor foolers on it and never had it tuned as the MIL isn't on and car seems rich across the board, but will need to get it on the dyno and see what it does.

Any constructive criticism/advice is more than welcome and encouraged!

Welcome. Yeah, those look like the 99-2000 head lights. 01-04 were not chrome, but smoked.

Re: Picked up an 03 Azure Blue

My only criticism is that I really love your car! Looks like a super clean find, awesome that it has such low miles.

Probably just as well the factory radio is out, they seem to be really problematic. My radio is a bit weird, seems to have a mind of its own.

Enjoy it!!

Re: Picked up an 03 Azure Blue

Ya, the guy I picked it up from had the original lights, radio, wheels with new tires also, intake, and exhaust so I've got all that as well. Original headlights are pretty "foggy" with some moisture in them so not sure they're salvageable, think the ones he put in are eBay specials. Long term plans are a procharger set-up but I'm just going to enjoy it as is this summer.

Re: Picked up an 03 Azure Blue

Only thing I would change is the headlights. The tinted ones look much better. Do yourself a favor though and spend the extra money on a set of OEM housings. I made the mistake of buying the cheaper aftermarket ones and after only a few years of mostly sitting under the cover, the rubber pieces were falling off and the clearcoat started to peel really badly. The OEM housings I replaced them with are now 3 years old and still look brand new.

Other than that, the car looks great.

Looks Beautiful and Very Clean, CONGRATS & WELCOME

Best thing about a Mach is it doesnt look like the Millions of other Stangs crusing the roads daily and with a little work they can kick *** on the new ones

Mine too had aftermarket lights when I bought it but they were smoked like the originals but both side rubber trim pieces were dried and cracked. Since the lights looked great , I went to the junk yard and bought 2 factory GT lights and stripped the trim off to replace mine. Definitely go oem !

Mine has the same 275/315 tire combo on 03/04 Cobra style rims. Kind of amazed how much tire you can put under these cars.

I just ordered SVE factory style headlights from LMR. They come with a one year replacement warranty. That includes condensation. I think they cost 115 bucks. The OEM lights are nice but the price is outrageous now. We will see how they look tomorrow.
