mach1 wheels

Has anyone purchased or know anything about these wheels? The shape looks a little different than the standard wheels.

Thanks,
Rick

Re: mach1 wheels

These are exactly the wheels I was looking to purchase within the week.

Wheel Replicas also makes a very similar wheel - but they do not have a full set in stock (3 18x9s, 1 18x10 when I last called).

I am not sure if anyone else makes a replica of these wheels with good quality. American Muscle does have them in stock and has super fast shipping... so I think I am going to pull the trigger on those once I can guarantee my tire shipment I want.

Wheel Replicas makes those wheels. AM just sells them.

Re: mach1 wheels

I was honestly just coming back to this thread to post that very comment. I was doing my homework and discovered that they are just a reseller.

I'll be putting in my order today

Re: mach1 wheels

These wheels are pretty cheap. Does anyone know of any issues like the clearcoat issue with AFS wheels?

Breezer03, please post pics when you put them on...thinking about buying them too. Are you getting the 18x10 back and 18x9 on the front? Which tires are you getting?

I have had them on the car over a year now with no issues at all. I haven't ever heard anything bad about wheelreplicas I think they are a better quality wheel then AFS.

Re: mach1 wheels

Is there a way to change the center cap that comes with the wheels. I see they offer other center caps but not the one that came with the original wheels.

same here, great looking ,good people to deal with, and no quality complants

the center caps are plain, but you can buy some decals from most mustang resto sites the have a running mustang on it, the decal is almost a perfect match for the center cap, most never notice the decal

You can change the center cap. I have AFS wheels and the clearcoat was fine until I used some crappy wheel cleaner that ate it off, so just go with old soap and water and you'll be fine.

Re: mach1 wheels

I'll post up much better pics later when she is cleaned up and fully detailed. I just wanted to get at least one up because heisingr asked for pics.

Taken soon as she got home as the sun was going down... dirty as can be. Those are 255/45 Kuhmo Ecstas on 18x9 all around.

edit - one more pic

Re: mach1 wheels

I bought the 17x9 wheels through AM and my stock center cap fit right on there. I have had no issues with the clear coat. The only difference is that the background is black and on the stock wheel they are grey. I actually like the black better, JMO.

Re: mach1 wheels

Breezer03, the wheels look great. Any reason why you didn't get the 18x10's in the back?

I have found a few sites that sell the running pony with bars center cap and the cheapest price I found so far is $22.99 each.

Re: mach1 wheels

may be the only aftermarket wheel that adds some bling bling while keeping that muscular nostalgic look. I like.

A few reasons... I don't intend to race her so I just needed something for driving purposes but ultimately it just came down to enough bad past experiences in dealing with 10s and not wanting to risk anything right now considering I'm not even sure if I am going to keep her in the near future.
