Comp Orange w/ 10k miles

Going to give it a shot......04 Comp Orange with 10033 miles. It is 100% stock and is absolutely beautiful. 1 Owner never in bad weather. Price is firm at $17500. Owned by a 50+ year old lady, it's never been run hard, and still looks new. Trade for older Mustang is possible, but I don't want any project cars.

Re: Comp Orange w/ 10k miles

Still for sale until mid February. Then I will put insurance on it and enjoy it myself. Compare to others online with these miles and 100% stock, the price is right.

Re: Comp Orange w/ 10k miles

Ok, had some interest in it. Mid February is when I will put insurance on it and keep it for a while. I'm surprised that people look at a car that has 50K-60K miles the same as a car with 10K miles.......Sorry for venting, but this is truly a clean, 100% stock unit with detailed pics, top side and bottom side to prove it. For a Mach 1 enthusiast, low mile cars 100% stock are few and far between.

Re: Comp Orange w/ 10k miles

That's crazy! There's a huge difference lol. Mine had ~34k miles when I bought it. That sounds low, but I could tell the first owner drove it year-round and actually put the most careless wear on it. One like you have that has never seen daily duty, weather, AND is ~10k miles is perfect IMO. I'm sorry I'm not in the market for a Mach 1 lol.

Re: Comp Orange w/ 10k miles

I'm sure their's plenty of Mach's with 10K or less miles for sale. You just have to be patient while looking. Alot of people want way too much thinking they're actually worth something.

They're only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

With that said, your second statement is a little condescending. These cars are still very cool, most people (not including those of us here) still don't know what they are....AND...as they get older, the low mileage examples ARE worth more because of their rarity. I'm convinced the value of mine has bottomed out and won't go much lower as long as I can keep the mileage under 50k.

I'm a 17 year ford dealership technician and drive my 45k mile Azure Blue Mach 1 into the dealership a few times a year, and I STILL get people that work here who think the shaker is aftermarket or don't know that it came with the 4.6 liter 32V engine.

Thunderbolt is right IMO. I don't see how it could be condescending to say what is really the truth. While it's true about how many people don't know of or much of the 03-04 Mach's, I think that if they were more than bolt on Ford parts, then they would be more well known and attain a higher collector value. I totally agree, many out there want way too much for the low mile Mach's.

That said, it certainly doesn't mean I don't love my Mach They are my favorite of the 79 - 06 range of Mustang models put out. Who wouldn't want a 2000 Cobra R, right? But, as far as looks, the Mach wins.

Re: Comp Orange w/ 10k miles

The only low mileage Mach's I have seen have been on these boards. But I've only looked in Phoenix, Arizona and Southern Cal. I did see one in LA with 6,200 miles and they were asking 23.5k, one with 48k asking 14.5k in Arizona. And about 5-8 with over 85,000 miles asking for 9+k. The guy I bought mine from was asking 9k with 114k miles, I ended up getting it for 7k. The only mod on mine was borla exhaust.

Re: Comp Orange w/ 10k miles

I love the fact that you hardly see any Mach 1's around except at car shows. That doesn't make them rare. Like I said in another thread, you can name 10 or more special production Mustang's built in the last 15 years that make the Mach 1 look like a regular production car. You have to get through all of those first before you get to the Mach which would be on the bottom of the list. Keeping your Mach under 50K miles makes no sense to me. You've got 75% of Mach owners with that same thought. Their's no big payoff with 10,000 Mach's with under 50K miles. It's just a glut.

Mine will be a daily driver. I don't see the point in not driving it or babying it. I'd do this with any car.

Re: Comp Orange w/ 10k miles

I think if you want to drive your Mach 1 every day, that's your choice. If you want to keep it clean and drive it on special occasions and car shows that's your choice too. For me, I bought a low mile cars that were pampered and I enjoyed them for a bit. I sold both my 03 and 04 Mach 1's for a profit. They are different than other Mustangs, and the production #'s are few in comparison. Bottom line.......they must be a little special or we would be on facebook now trading recipes and posting stupid inspirational quotes, instead of being on a Mach 1 registry. Enjoy the cars any way you choose.
