Finally got a procharger

After wanting a procharger for years even when I still had my red Mach 1 I finally bought one and installed it this past weekend only snag I ran into was clearancing the valve cover. I’m also going to be tuning the car myself so I’ll be looking forward to that

Re: Finally got a procharger

Congrats man! Boost is so fun with a 4v, even low boost. Looks clean and classy under the hood, not overdone. Very similar to how I did mine.

Thanks guys, I’ve been working on my tune, I went out for some logging yesterday and it’s looking good so far. A few small tweaks left to do. I also need to buy another coupler for my maf. I upgraded my maf and the kit only came with couplers for the stock maf which are too big for the 3” tube on my new maf, I bought a temporary one at the local parts store and it blew off on me last night. Popped it back on and called it a night till the new proper coupler comes in.

Thanks everyone, I loaded up my revision tune last night and my wideband is still showing rich but it’s running really good so I guess I’ll have to do more logging and make a few more adjustments

Here are some more pics for fun

That's a shot right there.

Which headunit is that? What are the rest of the mods/fuel system?

It’s a D1SC headunit, 60lb injectors with a deatschwerks 340lph pump. PMAS slot style Maf with a 3 inch tube. The setup is supposed to be good to around 600hp but I’m not going anywhere near that for now since I’m on the stock bottom end. I have a set of Manley rods on the shelf just waiting for more funds to do the built engine, by then I’ll probably upgrade the whole fuel system to return style with dual pumps.

Don Lasota sent me a start up tune with the SCT software I bought since I also purchased his book but at the time he sent me that he wrote the tune for the stock maf so I went and re-wrote the maf transfer portion of it (which is the heart of the tune) to make it all work

Only other mods the car has is full exhaust from the exhaust manifolds back with an X-pipe and 3.73’s

Re: Finally got a procharger

What size pulley are you running with that D1SC, since you still have the stock rotating assembly?

Thank you, the one on IG is my car and I have not seen another Mach with the black setup except for a red Mach but it looked possibly powder coated and put together kit. Mine is straight from procharger, I was pleasantly surprised to see all the piping also came in black.

I didn’t measure the pulley but it’s probably a 4” or 4.15” it’s making 8psi right at 7k rpm and yes still the stock rotating assembly

200 miles on the blower and tune, inspected my plugs today and I must say I’m pretty happy with them, they all look like this pic. Also double checked the gap at .034

Finally got a procharger

Got me a 99-01 cobra bumper the other day. Having it painted to match pretty soon. Always been on the fence about switching the stock bumper but I’ll admit this year bumper looks really good

Then a shot at work before handing it off to the body shop guy at work

Re: Finally got a procharger

Nice! I think that's the only bumper that looks better than stock on these Mach 1's.

might just be the photo but pretty much looks like you can see the progression of timing on the plug, kinda cool
