No more Catfish to fry?

Looks like the Camaro is on life support with no future...

https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/auto...rt/ar-AADpAEC#!

I don't know if this is better than the rumored electric Mach 1/Mustang future we've been rumored to be looking at. But the new Blazer sure looks like Camaro offspring.

Re: No more Catfish to fry?

Modern Camaro is not only funny looking but overweight.
For those of us that actually race,...weight is a legitimate concern.
My buddy has one with roughly 750 rwhp which can’t catch my Mustang on the roadcourse. Mustang has 400 rwhp

Never been a fan of the newer Camaro. You can’t see out of them at all and the fit and finish is trash.

No more Catfish to fry?

I like the LSA ZL1, and that’s about it. The first phase alpha body was pretty decent looking. That’s the extent of my interest in the Camaro’s that are newer than F bodies.
Edit: forgot about the Z/28, but the car was priced too high to begin with.

Pick your poison.

I had not taken notice of the Mustang sales lately. Wow, they are all really low considering they used to sell a 1/4 million units at least a year...

Having owned a 1969 Camaro and seeing what Chevy was trying to push on people as a throw back, it wasn't even close in my opinion. But have to say I don't want to see these cars go away, the HP wars are awesome to see...

Re: No more Catfish to fry?

i was pondering if this is an attempted ploy to get Camaro sales up.
when the new Honda Accord coupe looks better than the new Camaro, GM has an issue.
GM's/Chevy's new trucks are fugly also.

I agree, saw a new Chevy truck the other day its a 4x4 with a Camaro front end.. Why do these company's want to have vehicles that all look the same? When your puddle jumper el cheapo model looks very similar to your high end model we got a problem.. Its like buying a Hyundai Sonata and trying to convince everyone you are driving a Jaguar S type... I continue to see no reason for me to buy a new vehicle. They all look kinda the same.. I'm looking for old cars of 25 years and more which no longer require Motor Vehicle inspections in my state.

Re: No more Catfish to fry?

I've always liked Mustangs better, but I like the Camaro's (and Firebird/TA's) from 67 to 92. 93 to 02 were just plain UGLY! At least the new ones look better than those LOL.

I come from a Chevy family and have owned a 69 Camaro. The 03 Mach 1 was the first Ford I ever bought mostly got the car because of the looks of the Mach 1 and because how terrible the Camaro looked in 2002. My Chevy loving father couldn't wait to take my Mach 1 for a ride.
Current vehicles in my driveway are:
1964 Chevelle Malibu Wagon
1967 Chevelle Malibu Coupe
1978 Malibu 4 door
1983 Mercury Capri
1987 5.0 LX Hatch
2003 Mach 1
2011 Shelby GT500
2012 Cadillac SRX
2004 Silverado

Always room for one more... Just don't tell my wife.. lol

We race the Chevy's and we cruise the Fords. Chevy's are just cheaper to build and what i grew up on so I know them better and have lots of extra crap for them. We enjoy them all. We like to drag race and go to car shows as a family.. In a few months my other son will driving too.. He wants the Mach 1..
A few of these are my kids vehicles however due to the cost of Insurance they are all in my name.. The Caddy is the wifes.
