Shocks / Struts ???

I have 83K miles. I guess that it's time for new shocks & struts. I only drive it about twice a week. Would like to upgrade a little. I don't want to lower the car as I have to have blocks to get out of the garage now.

What would ya'll recommend?

https://lmr.com/products/94-04-Musta...ts-Spring-Kits

Should I do shocks & struts before alignment or does it matter?

Another Bilstein fan here. As was said, do the suspension work then get the alignment.

Re: Shocks / Struts ???

Bils here also. A little expensive but the ride and performance can't be beat.

Re: Shocks / Struts ???

Running the Koni Yellow adjustable. Set at the midpoint ride comfort is about stock but cornering drastically improved. In all honestly though if you are just street driving it the KYB will be a good combo. Definitely do the struts before the alignment or you'll be doing it twice.

Wow, that is a long time for backorder. I saw Maximum Motorsports was actually marketing (basically on social media) the MM set they make that is very similar to the Bilstein HDs. Post up your thoughts on them when you get them installed.

I have a set of the MM struts with coil overs and springs, they handle really well, the ride is stiffer than stock for sure. It all depends on the application, the MM's version have extra bracing for the road racing crew and valved for 350-400lb coil over springs.

I have since changed my car to strange coil-overs as my corner carver is going drag racing. I need to put them up for sale some day.

Re: Shocks / Struts ???

I got these https://lmr.com/item/BIL-24064187-K/...-quad-kit-8704 installed today. Rides 100% better. They ride is what I was looking for. You don't realize how bad the originals were when you don't drive it everyday. Rides better than new. Front end alignment was not far off either. Probably my third alignment.

Discount Tire rotated and rebalanced tires also.

Next project is brake rotors and pads along with new brake lines.

Then a "tune up" whatever that means now a days.

Hawk hps or stoptech street pads are really good, ive used both. A slotted rotor is a bit of a nuisance from 10-0mph. You can feel the slots as they rotate along. Id lean towards a solid disc if i were to do it again. The stainless lines up front are nice though.

Tune up- air filter, plugs, fuel filter, fluids
