To all those in Irmas path
I hope the best for all in the path of the fierce hurricane now crawling its way up the Florida coast and headed for Ga., and South Carolina and points north. I know what you're going through, and I hope you all make it safely and with a minimum of loss. My thoughts, hopes and prayers are with all of you.

Praying for everyone here too. My Dad lives in North Port, but he had to go to the hospital Friday with a blood infection. He's in the Sarasota Hospital. I have t heard anything yet, but I'm sure power is out all around that area. Some of the pics I've seen online doesn't seem to be catastrophic, so hoping for that to be true. Hopefully I'll hear something by tonight. Hope everyone else down there is safe.

Re: To all those in Irmas path
We're in Orlando and weathered the storm pretty well all things considered. We were out of power for 2 days, from Sunday at around 8 pm until Tuesday around 6 pm. Lost a few tree limbs but no real damage at our house. There were others that weren't as lucky and I believe that the local utilities have said that they should have pretty much everyone back in power by Sunday in the Orlando area.
I work for the local power and water utility and got to spend the storm at one of our water plants to make sure that it stayed up and running and make any repairs that were necessary.
