Re: Procharger install

I still remember the day I was installing mine,
I would suggest T-bolt clamps
Also just make sure if you need to add washers to the bracket to get it all even.
leave all your piping lose so your able to move it around as you need too.
Good luck

I got the procharger hardware from procharger $75 so hopefully it'll be easier. I do have t bolt clamps and I am using cx racing pipping with a tread stone! I WANT 600 rwhp so bad. Ash I was reading a ad on the web u made several years ago about a thump rrr tensioner. Would you happen to have one or know where one might be? I am going to use a 3.10 pully.

I'll see if I can find one, it helped me out when I added it to mine
Also did a RR ultra grip pulley.
have you thought about going to a 8 rib set up since you have it all taken apart. That helped a bunch of guys that had belt slip issues.
let me see what I can find for you

I was just making sure it came with the tensioner, from what it reads it does.
I would also try to pick up another belt with it when you order or ask them how hard it would be to get another belt.
I think you would be happier going with this set up, then just getting the tensioner. If you had to pick between the two.

Re: Procharger install

•Kits are custom designed for 1996-2010 Mustang GT, Cobra, Saleen, Roush, and Bullitt. We make kits for all supercharger brands including Vortech, Paxton, Procharger for 2V, 3v, and 4V. We also make kits for the Mercury Marauder. If you do not see you application listed, please call.
•Designed to help reduce supercharger belt slip on cars running smaller supercharger pulleys.
•Helps the boost come on harder down low and to hold steady at higher RPM's.
•In addition to color instructions, each kit includes all required pulleys, grade#10 hardware w/billet spacers, a new belt, color instructions. Supercharger pulleys sold separately.
•Upgrades available include SFI and oversized crank pulleys, billet idlers, and billet tensioners for every application.

Kits do not include supercharger pulleys...must be ordered separately.

House of boost should carry the 8 rib s/c pulley.

I also bought this hardware kit for the headunit and ended up using my own 1/8" spacers for pulley alignment. 3 for headunit bracket (1 behind idler pulley,1 on the stud above it,and 1 for the small ATI pulley). 2 days of jerking around with a machined straight edge but I did get everything lined up dead on.

Re: Procharger install

Get a threaded rod instead of the 2 studs that come in the kit. By the time you get them in the timing cover they will be really short...I bottomed out into cover and cut the length about 1" PAST headunit bracket. Also run a tap FIRST in all the holes including alternator mounts and once you get them in, use red lock tite on them so they don't spin when you remove the headunit..align, align align, all cars are different doesn't take much for belt to jump a tooth. Also get ATI idler lined up, thread into peanut tight, rotate peanut to align with alt. bracket, remove then tighten down alt side then install idler with blower. See my thread for some other stuff and good luck. I went on Amazon and got a Gatorback tensioner, worked awesome over OEM and at around $50 was a great choice with Gatorback belt.

Re: Procharger install

Just take your time with it. Get the threaded rod and concentrate on pulley alignment. Like not a gt said...start the idler allen head ATI pulley first (into alternator bolt w/ adapter). Then the 2 stud nuts. Tighten them evenly so don't crank down one at a time. You'll get there. End result is worth it.
