Let one of the drivers begin to show some personality or emotion and Nascar hauls them to the trailer to "re-educate" them about sponsors & $$.
Nascar used to be a swig of Jack Daniels each week, with personalities, back & forth between manufacturers & owners, excitement & real racing (that, yes involved bumping, grinding & wrecking). Now it is not much more than warm milk. Nothing wrong with warm milk, but warm milk helps you to go to sleep and that is where the sport is slowing going.....to sleep. Where is Jack Kevorkian when you need him. Will the last person who cares about this sport pull the plug when you leave!!
I give Nascar two years before goes under. is like the Trams Ams days all over again,

I agree unless there are some drastic changes. However, I'll give it 5 years before it slips back into the minor leagues of racing.

Petty Enterprises hasn't done crap for a few years now. I'm surprised it took this long.

Re: NASCAR thread

Well, the season is starting up again. So what did you all think of the Bud Shoot Out last night? I thought it was pretty good. Would have rather seen McMurray get the win instead of Harvick though.

I agree.Someone should have told some of the drivers that 4 wide is not the way to go around the track!
I did like JJs finish. Hope his whole season looks like that...

Seemed pretty lame. I thought last year they had a longer race, like 500 miles or something.

The kids can't even make the clash a good race. How many cars were running at the end? Not many.

Makes you wonder if any will be running at the end of 500 miles.
I say go to your local track and see some real racing. I do and its GREAT!!!!

That's because there were some rookie drivers in that race that shouldn't have even been in there.

Re: NASCAR thread

It was the twin 125's from '69-'05. They changed it to 150 miles when one of the Labonte's went the whole 125 miles without a pitstop. Pretty uneventful races yesterday. I slept halfway through one race. The 500 will be alot more interesting.

You guys be sure to run out and get your "Krewe Wear", NASCAR's new line of urban style clothing before the season starts. You know, just so you will appear to be down wit' yo favorite driver and let everybody know who in yo krewe.

The first time I hear this kind of talk at a Nascar race will be the last race I ever attend.

If NASCRAP has their way, it would happen at the very next race. What they don't understand is that when you try to be everything to everybody you become nothing to anyone.
