Well after a several year hiatus I'm ready to pick up where I left off with my car. Definitely kicking myself now for selling all the parts I had, geez.

But anyways why is it so dead here?!?!

I recently got back into a Mach 1 but I never left this site, just didn't post as much. And even though I didn't have a Mach 1 I still hungout with a group of people I met because of the Mach 1 and still look for local Mach 1 related events on here.
This website/forum is what we make it.
If either of you can make the trip to Pa. the Carlisle Ford Nationals is a great show, we have a good time and have been doing this for 13/14 years now. This May 2017 marks 15 years of the Mach 1 Registry.

I sure hope not. You used to see Machs a good bit but now you don't. I was about to sell mine to fund a new 5.0 but then I realized...I'd be driving just another 5.0 vs driving a nice rare Mach 1.

This place in 2010 was amazing. It's very sad to see the lack of traffic now.

Anyways plans are 1 7/8" longtubes into 3" H pipe and then 3" Bassani exhaust. That followed by Comp 106160 cams.

the m1R facebook page is more active, not as useful imho (hard to search) but thats the way all the forums seem to be going. That and lets face it, most of the stuff for this platform has been pretty well covered

The above statement I guess was the pinnacle of the forums. I think this forum does pretty well for 15,000 cars being built. Not everyone knew what they bought and not many people knew about the website. This website was the reason I even knew about a 2003 Mach 1 and basically sold the car for Ford.

Definitely a bit of a ghost town, but still better than the FB groups. The groups are a fire-and-forget communication method. Nobody searches FB. If it's more than a couple of days old, it might as well have never been said.

Nice to see old members posting again, new members do get on board from time to time, and many of the friendships started here still remain especially when it comes time for Carlisle.
Considering it's a car that hasn't been built for 13 years and the Registry is nearly 15 years old, the fact that it still exists and continues to see posts daily is pretty cool.

It seems that most people are moving away from forums and doing the social media thing. It's sad because the info is lost there and in forums it isn't. Ok, maybe not lost, but harder to dig up. I'm a member of Moddedmustangs.com and over the last few years it has died down a lot also. You can't beat forums, just my thoughts.

I like the forums too. Seems like all the forums member numbers are down because of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and others.

I may not post much, but not dead over here. Just finished up a t56 magnum swap at the end of last year( 99% complete) have a nx wet kit in the basement waiting for my lazy azz to install, going to try to get into self tuning this year, and have a teksid doner with a forged rotating assembly ( still haven't torn down the old motor and assembled the rotating assembly yet)for when I blow it up or it's time to go twinscrew and spray.

Yup. That's it exactly. I am a member of some turbo 2.3 SVO forums and they are dead mostly too. Even the generic old school 2.3 TurboFord site is dead. Every day our cars fade into the past a little more. Every year a few more end up destroyed. It would help a lot if Ford puts out a new Mach 1.

I have been a member since late 2002 don't post got my order number in December 2002 and my car was built with in 5 days of my son's birth in January of 2003 Only has 22000 miles on it and will pass to him when I can't push the clutch pedal any more. Always been a great site and has a lot of info.
