330mile 03 really worth 26K?
I found a 2003 Mach1 in my area Black/5spd/IUP, with just 330 miles on it. Completely stock and show room clean. The place is asking 26K for it. That sounds steep to me even with that low mileage.

Yep. Especially since you could never drive it.

Re: 330mile 03 really worth 26K?
If my rusty 03 with 100k is worth 10. Well that what I paid at a dealer about 4 years ago. Then that price sounds fair. I don't think there going to be worth that much 20 years from now, but I think it was one of the best mustangs built.

That's about what I paid for my 04 new so basically you're buying a new car now at 2003-04 price. Sounds like a Back to the Future deal.

Re: 330mile 03 really worth 26K?
It's true, that price is a bit steep. BUT.....you can only be original and low miles once. I have an 03 TR 5spd with 13k on it I would sell for $19500, but not a dollar less. Price is up to the buyer to find the value. Do you want low miles, higher price, or a lot of miles and had the chit run out of it for less. Just my thoughts, I've been buying and selling muscle cars for a lot of years, and it holds true.....It's always cheaper to buy a nice car than it is to rebuild one.

Why not, special edition Mustang. Basically a second chance to buy it new, these cars new should be worth more than a new V6 Mustang. Curb appeal. priceless.

It is worth it to a wealthy buyer. To me 26k has to do a lot more than a collectors item does. Someone will buy it

Re: 330mile 03 really worth 26K?
I don't think it's too far off. I paid $17k for mine with 24k miles with a Procharger in June. I may have overpaid a little bit, but $26k still doesn't sound that bad for 330 miles.

Re: 330mile 03 really worth 26K?
I thought this for a few years but after spending 19k on mine with 5300 miles on it and had to have it delivered it was worth it .
thats going to be like a new car mine still smells new inside with 5k on it. Just make sure if you are going to drop that much its a keeper and don't think you are going to flip it or sell it for that same money. |

Re: 330mile 03 really worth 26K?
I'm still up in the air on cars at the moment but probably purchasing something in the next week or two since a car I wanted, thought was sold, but was actually put to auctiion and purchased by another dealer, just got relisted... for less money. If I do buy it, I'll post up an absolute steal of a Mach in PA with less then 15k miles. I really think I need something with a bit more room then a Mach, but I'm very, very tempted to just pull the trigger.

I just bought my 03 Torch Red with 17,410 miles on her for $13,500...only mods were staggered bullitt black wheels, SCT tuner, shorty antenna, sequential tails lights and a K&N air filter. As an added bonus ALL of the original parts came with the car!

Re: 330mile 03 really worth 26K?
Condition and Mods play a big part in my book. I massively overpaid for my 04 and I know I'm going to lose a ton when I sell it some day. BUT I bought it from a 78 yr old orig owner and the car was keep in an air conditioned garage in California it's whole life and treated like the Holy Grail.
The condition is simply amazing, I don't think you can find one more mint, it's never once been wet, the tires were never once spun (until I bought it) and it looks drives and feels like a brand new car. More importantly it was exactly what I wanted and had 15,000.00 in upgrades so I'm very happy with the purchase and intend to keep it a long time. As said they're only new once, mine just happens to still look that way and that is worth extra money to me. |
