Smile What do you think of a MACH-LEEN

I am sure some of you will flame me but I am thinking of customizing my Mach 1 with a S281 Body kit, Imagine how cool a Comp. Orange Mach would look with this Saleen Kit...What do you think

At a dealership, there was a DSG Mach 1 with Saleen body kit, wheels, and Saleen logos on the windshield. The dealer wanted an extra 8,000 or 9,000 for it.

I almost cried.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Saleen kit and everything, but if it says Saleen on it, I am not interested.

I have a Mach, not a Saleen.

Just my .02

I like the idea. I just got my 5.0 magazine in the mail today. It had 20th anniversary Saleen on the cover. The black stripe going down the middle reminded me of what some people have done to their mach's and got me thinking how a mach would look with that kit. Money will keep me from doing it. If you can do it go for it!

Rice? I guess we all have our own interpretations.

Anyways, I think the Saleen kit looks great on a Mustang. However, I think the Mach has a very retro theme going for it, and you will lose that with the kit. As long as you don't mind that, then go for it. I personally would shave the Saleen lettering off the rear bumper. I have an 04 Cobra bumper, and wouldn't put it on my car without smoothing those letters either.

As always, its your car and you will do as you please....but let me echo the thoughts of some others here, it is a Mach 1 and should stay Mach 1 imho. I also feel the kit would detract from the Mach 1 theme and retro appeal.

Roush has done some Machs with the Stage 3 kit and it looked okay, I guess you never know. Please post a pic if/when you do it!

Well I'll say it. Go for it man. If you're going to put a body kit on a Mustang, i think the saleen (as well as the Kaminari) is a great choice. They look good. Also, i think you can get the saleen style kit without it saying "saleen" on the rear bump. Maybe check mrbodykit.com

What the #$%* are you thinking?!?!?!

J/K

Seriously, since you asked for thoughts... I have never been a fan of anything Saleen so I probably wouldn't like it on mine. Your car though, so have a blast with it.

Personally, I've always like the way saleens look. also i always like to make my car unique. dont like to look like all the other cars around. then it comes to a matter of preference. if you like it go for it. people have many different taste. some people will like it and some wont. as long as you like it then go for it..

It`s your car and your money. Have a ball!!! Paint it a color other than the standard colors. I would like to see a Bright Blue Metalic paintjob with the Mach stripes!!

Re: What do you think of a MACH-LEEN

Ok it looks bad *** but your gona have to do some extra work to make it fit your car, we just put a saleen body kit on my brother 01 GT and we had to custamized the part on the bumper that latches on to the car, and the side skirts havent even been installed because they came a little smaller so we have to use fiberglass and make em bigger.
It turned out nice but it took us a while to get it to fit right.

Looks like all traces of a Mach 1 has disappeared....it's a nice kit but it doesn't say Mach 1 though
