Sagging Exhaust Tips
I found a nice example that I'm looking for but the tips of the stock exhaust are hanging a little low and out of alignment. I'm not too familiar with the SN95's - is this normal? Is it easily fixed?
Thanks! |

Re: Sagging Exhaust Tips
Sounds like whoever installed the exhaust didnt take their time or the exhaust just doesnt fit well. There are not much in the way of simple adjustments it probably requires some cutting and welding of the tailpipe hangers and some possible adjustments where the tailpipes connect to the mufflers.

Re: Sagging Exhaust Tips
It almost looks like they removed the exhaust for some reason and when reinstalling it missed the rubber hangers. There are mounts just in front of the gas tank and close to the tips. I would look around the tips first. I bet everything is there, they just got lazy. If it is just those then it is a 5-10 minute fix.

Re: Sagging Exhaust Tips
So you think that they're just not hung from the furthest rear hanger?
Should I avoid the car? As you can see, it's very clean and I want to keep it stock. |

If I was looking for a car like this and the 'only' thing that was wrong with it was the exhaust tips then I would be silly not to buy it. It may not hurt to simply ask the owner why it is like that.

Re: Sagging Exhaust Tips
Did you run a carfax on it? Any accidents?

Re: Sagging Exhaust Tips
Did you try to move them around and see if they were loose?
How in the heck do you not notice that?

Re: Sagging Exhaust Tips
There are a number of photos in the gallery section that may be of help. Here's one of them...
And yes, the left side certainly looks low.

Re: Sagging Exhaust Tips
mine are aftermarket now and I've been struggling to align the left to the right. One is slightly lower than the other. Maybe it's a Mach thing LOL
