Alright Dawg, How would August 27th at REDLINE sound to you.. That is on a Saturday.. It is the day they are having the DFWstangs Summer Cruise.. This is when we should have our race.. This should give you plenty of time to get your rearend fixed and race ready... I will be race ready next week, but will wait to run untill then so I don't have anything happen between now and then.. So Lets Get It On..

Well I talked to Dawg and this date is set.. Our race is going to be at Redline on the 27th of August.. This will be a Saturday and they are having the DFWstangs Summer Cruise races out there that day.. It should be a very good race I hope that most of you all can come on out if your not doing anything that day.. Every DFWstangs Cruise they have had so far has been awesome.. Alot of very fast car and a great hooking track, but all the rest of them have been at K-dale, this will be the first time that it will be at Redline, and this will be the first time for me to race at Redline.. So I will see you guys there..

Get that tranny fixed Brain.. Remember we need to have a rematch.. Bill has a spare 3650 tranny that he is selling if you need one.. I know he can't want too much for it.. Maybe around 300 bucks...

Dan and I made it out to Denton tonight and the grudge match on the 27th is going to be close. We were both running mid to low 7.8's and it looks like who ever can cut a better light will win.

This ought to be fun!

Yeah Patrick it is going to be very close.. Closer then I ever thought.. You are driving better now then I have ever seen you before.. Smokey did pretty good tonight though.. I was launching the car over 6k rpms and letting it fly. I wasn't hooking like I use to do but it was still hooking pretty good.. My mph was up there though almost 88mph, just a tad under.. This race between us is going to be very close.. Good job on all of your runs today Patrick...

I think I am going to play with guns that day (i already have the shells and targets). Something about the wife took racing out of the budget for a while. Is the race during the day or night?

Yeah, it was a good night. The track prep was ok and so was the weather. What really helped was there were not that many cars running and not that many trailered cars spitting up on the track.

I finally figured out the right psi and lauch rpm to run consistently. I think the new diff helped too.

Too bad y'all couldn't make it out.

No Lucky those words do not need to be said.. I pushed the heck out of it off the line and shifting though out the gears, and everything felt very smooth. I can't shift this tranny as fast as the stock one but I can still throw those gears pretty good.. I think I did a few 6.5K rpm launchs out there. I had it reved up a little then when I saw the 2nd yellow light light up I went WOT and dumped the clutch on the 3rd light.. I Red lighted a few times but O well.. I'm still off by about 1 tenth on my 60ft so I need to work on that a little bit. The best 60 I pulled was only a 1.72.. I need to get it back down to mid 1.6's or lower..

Thanks! I knew it would take a couple of trips to the track to figure out the right launch which I'm pleased with now. With these 11.5 tires, I don't know if I'm gonna get a 1.6 60' time or not.

Mid to low 7.8's. Those are great N/A times. Good job from both of you guys. Nothing wrong with that no matter what anybody else says.
