Cobra fuel tank
Ok polling the audience here. Debating on picking up a cobra fuel tank (guy is asking 300 for the tank only). Is it really worth it and needed. My car is a street car and will see the strip a little. Ultimately swapping to a return setup running dual pumps and feeding about 650hp.
I know cobra is baffled. I never run below a 1/4 tank and no road racing. Thanks for the help |

I went to the cobra tank years ago. I had the twin pumps in my stock tank, but I never felt comfortable. Even keeping over a 1/4 tank in it.

Re: Cobra fuel tank
if youre swapping to return style in long run...skip the cobra tank and just get a glenn's tank. dont waste the money...

Re: Cobra fuel tank
Been blown for 5 years and over 300 passes. Just don't get into boost with less then 1/4 tank and your fine.

Re: Cobra fuel tank
I just modified my stock tank when I went return-less, I have 3, 340lph pumps and everything works perfectly. I have yet to have any fuel pick up issues. I rarely go below 1/4 tank but I have done it without problems, just as someone else said stayed out of boost. Just make sure you set the depth of the pumps properly and you will be fine.
As the others have said, if you want a new tank get a new purpose built tank, no need to waste your money on a cobra tank. glenn's tank does look good and not really that expensive.
