Nitrous Wiring Help - TPS wires

A friend and I have been working on putting a SpeedTech wet kit on car over the past week or so. Only a few hours every other night really stretches things out...

We are just about done with everything except a couple wires for the window switch. More specifically, the TPS wiring for it. The SpeedTech kits come with a Fly-by-Wire nitrous controller/window switch box, but we are having some trouble getting the **** thing to come on. The instructions say to 'Connect The Black wire to the reference ground wire' and 'Connect the Tan wire to the throttle position signal wire'. So my question is, which wires on the TPS are which? I tried searching, but the results I came up with didn't seem to fix the problem. The middle, gray wire is the signal wire correct? Or is it something different? And which one is the 'reference ground'?

Any sort of info on this would be very appreciated.

Wish I could help, but Im not familiar with that kit. Is there anyway you can post a link for the kit, or more specifically the window switch wiring diagram?

Re: A Little Nitrous Wiring Help

I wish I could, man. It's still pretty new, and I'm probably the first person to ever install one on a Mach 1.

It's not even listed on their site yet, but my friend works in his dad's machine shop and they're a dealer for it. The kit is actually for the S197, but so far we've been able to get everything in place except getting this window switch to power up. It's literally all we lack before it's done. The tech at SpeedTech said we should be able to make it work just fine. Here's a link to this little box I'm talking about, though:

http://www.speedtechnitrous.com/newProducts08.cfm

We really just need to know which wires do what on the TPS... gray/red stripe, dark gray/white stripe, brown/white stripe. Trial and error would probably get it done, but it would be much easier to know what the different wires are for before we get started again.

Re: A Little Nitrous Wiring Help

Not trying to be a d!ck, but if you move this to the poweradder section you will probably get the help you are looking for.

Re: A Little Nitrous Wiring Help

Not necessarily a 'Power Adder' specific question, but I can see where you're coming from on that... It's cool. We got it all figured out anyway, and it works nice.

Re: A Little Nitrous Wiring Help

TPS signal wire is the middle wire on your TPS connection, located near throttle body. Should have something like .5v going to it and 4.5v started. If I remember correctly. That's the signal wire I used for my Zex TPS Switch.
