Driving today and SES light came on - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

Well, i have a offroad X with mill eliminators and it has been on for about 6 monthes with no light ever. Woulndt the light come on right away if it were due to that? I am going to have to take it to the dealership and see what is wrong. Do any of you have an idea of what it could be?

The mil eliminators only last so long depending on brand. Sometimes 6-12 months or a little more. Chances are your code is for the 2 rear o2 sensors. The computer just caught on. Do you have a Diablo predator or SCT? If you do you can use it to scan codes. If not and the codes are for rear o2 sensors chances are you will have to buy new mils or in time buy a tuner and use it to turn them off. Thats the only thing. Is the car running ok? If so that's all it is probably. The rear o2 just tell the computer the cats are there and are working. The mils trick the computer by supplying the proper voltage to the ecu as if the cats were still there. They are probably just bad.

you probably have a bad mil eliminator. If you don't have access to a tuner for scanning you can normally get Advance, AutoZone, or any large parts chain to scan it for you FOR FREE. The dealer we have locally charges for that.

Alright thanks. Also, i was just wondering, i know its not any of their business but will the dealership say anything about running no cats? I just hate dealing with peoples opinions lol
