Re: Listen to my band and comment

Just remember you asked. As a drummer I hate when people comment on things they don’t know about so I will stick strictly to what I know without a doubt. The drumming definitely could improve its not that bad but it could be much better. And when you record it make sure your not peaking the recorder for any extended time and lower the lead mic a little, it will help clean up the recording. Overall not to bad. How long have you been a band?

Not bad....if your lucky enough to get hooked up with someone good in a studio to tweak you guys just a little...I think it would sound really good. Keep pursuing the dream bro.

Oops, nevermind, I see calif. If you were here in va, I'd invite you te the venue I work at for an open-mic session and burn you a demo cd for $10, from our sound board. My recoder is plugged into the 4 channel matrix, so I can tune it better than from the "record-out" jaks.

Re: Listen to my band and comment

I don't have speakers hooked up here but I'll give it a listen tomorrow.

Many bands that come off as 'substandard' or 'bland' generally just need a good recording to come across totally differently.

My band: http://www.myspace.com/knifedowndanger

We have what I would consider a 'very good' recording, but it still doesn't even compare to the intensity of the live show. A lot of bands get mislabeled as lame because their recording is weak. Always something to keep in mind.

Not bad for only working with each other for a month.

Re: Listen to my band and comment

thanks everyone. the recordings we have were ripped off a video taken by my brother from our first show. We are hoping to get some better recordings because it would let people get a better idea of our sound.
