What did you do for Labor Day ?

I finally had time to do an oil change. Installed strange struts and shocks and cut the front springs 3/4(need to get an alignment) and fit my street lites (15x10) rear wheels. A nitrous kit is next on the list of mods.

How about you guys ?

Re: What did you do for Labor Day ?

I did what I am doing now, worked from 11PM to 7 AM, for Labor Day I slept and went to work, got me some hoilday pay for my P1SC install coming up, hope you and everyone else that was off had a great day!! I as well have the Strange in the rear (KYB in Front), and I cut 1/2 coil off front, (did alignment check and it was dead on ..no charge), great minds think alike!!

I mainly wanted to get rid of the huge fender gab I. The front and figured since I was doing struts I would cut the springs. Ground to fender was 27 3/4 and cutting 3/4 coil dropped to 26 7/8. So just a tad under a inch with stock isolaters in. Rear is stock to clear my slicks, so I can't lower the front to much. But I must say with the struts/shocks set to 7 and front lowered the car handles way better and I don't feel much body roll like before. (Sorry for a longish reply, just very excited with the results and finally got to work on the mach. Last time I spent the day working on the mach was when I replaced the clutch 2 years ago)

Re: What did you do for Labor Day ?

It's all good, I dropped about 3/4 to 1" with stock ISO, I run Nitto n555 extreme(not DR) on the street and have rear Strange on a 5 with 28 psi rear and 35 psi front with KYB strut on 2 and rides like a dream, You have a corner carver set on 7, for dragstrip set Strange on 3 or 4, 16 psi in 275 DR's and KYB on 1.. it is always a good day when you can have quality time with the Mach, ever go to the track?? Since we are up and killing time right now, crappy video, I am in far lane, ran a Foxbody with slicks, .059 RT is what got him, and it wasn't my best run, we did 3 bac to bac runs and I got all 3, and he ran out of gas and I pushed it back on the trailer!!

I just run some cheap street tires right now. I need to buy new tires soon. I wanted to see how it would handle with them set to 7 and normal driving its fine. But I'm a drag racer at heart so they'll get set to 1-2 in the front and 4-5 in the rear. I'm actually getting the car ready for a track day with some friends. Got my slicks mounted on Saturday. Hoping to buy my nitrous kit in a week or two. I've only gone once in the mach 2 years ago when I had just bought it. I broke the clutch into pieces on my second pass. First pass I forgot to turn off traction control so bogged down most of the track.

What the hell is this labor crap on Labor Day? I cooked up some Brats, watched a James Bond marathon and got ripped. I should've had a 3 day weekend, but I worked 8 hours O.T. on Saturday for some easy cash.
