Intake spacer... again

Ok so I'm new to the Mach 1 gang and have decided I want my shaker a hair higher and a couple more hp wouldn't hurt either. So which intake spacer guys? I've seen one on Summit that says it's 1" but someone on the Corral says it's only 1/2", the one from Php, or mmr?

Unless you're doing an egr delete along with it, I wouldn't want to fight with more than 1/2" of spacer. That size looks the best too, imo.

If I was buying one today id probably just get the mmr one either from them or lethal.

Re: Intake spacer... again

Yea I don't want to screw up the shaking of the shaker. It's one of the coolest things about the car.

Re: Intake spacer... again

I ordered the ICT billet one and Mahle gasket from Summit. I'll post back once it's installed, thanks all. Does anyone have a torque spec on the bolts?

Re: Intake spacer... again

ICT billet installed. Before I started I noticed the new gasket I bought was broke, but not all the way through. I put a small amount of gray rtv on it and ran it. On a side note I made an iac restrictor plate and installed it at the same time. First start up seemed fine, I went in to wash up and the car died. I restarted it and it would not idle below 1300. Took it for a drive and again wouldn't idle below 1300. Pulled the restrictor plate off and car idles and drives fine. And yes the hardest part was lining up the egr bolts. It looked like the egr gasket was rtv so I put a thin layer on and tightened each bolt a little at a time with anti seize on the bolts. Taking it out of town this evening, I'll post back with results. Btw to early to tell if I gained 3hp or not, lol.

Re: Intake spacer... again

Those egr bolts are a b!tch. I almost broke them trying to tighten them down.
