Hi Donna, love what you've done to your Mach1! Can you run my vin and see what comes up? I have been unable to find any dates what so ever throughout the car. Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Donna,
Thank you very much for running the vin for me.
One question, do you know what these mean?

WARNING MESSAGES:

LESS THAN TWO DEALER APPROVED AWA REPAIR VISITS PAID TO DATE

VERIFY VIN/WARRANTY COVERAGE

Does that mean there has been some repairs done??
If anyone out there knows, I would appreciate some insight before I put a deposit on it..
Thanks,
Dan.

Thanks for the information. Didn't know about the door but it works fine. I am not sure what CUDL contact closed means though. Can you shed any light on this for me?

This is the second '04 Comp. Orange Mach I recieved from the dealer. The first Mach 1 (FYI vin#1FAFP42R84F136894) had a loud tapping noise coming from the left bank of the engine so the dealer swapped it out.

I am located at Ft Bragg serving in the Army. Not far at all from SC.

Thanks again, Mach on!!! Doug

I think I might of answered my own ??? Could it be "Dealership Credit Union Direct Lending (CUDL)"? Town & Country Ford on the eastside of Charlotte received this second Mach 1 from Trindol Ford in Gastonia which would explain the *Warning.

Doug-

CUDL is a Customer Data Link. Usually registered by a call to, or from, Ford Corporate to/from you, or your dealer, regarding your VIN #. When I called Ford Cust Svc about my paint issue, it registered as a CUDL. Nothing too exciting

Now, I have a club out of Greenville SC ... And I know Fort Bragg isn't THAT far Maybe you will make it out to a few of our events? How about the Atlanta Mach Meet I'm putting together? You coming?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Sounds great about the upcoming event! I will definately mark it on my calander. Other committments will unfortunately stand in the way of my true blue oval passion. I look forward to making an event or two when things slow down a bit.

Until then........Mach on! Doug

Donna, I would like to request an Oasis report on mine as well.
1FAFP42R54F137548

There should be at least one warranty claim since I have had it in to correct some paint flaws. I would like to verify the born on date and any warranty work completed. I really appreciate you running the report for me. Thanks again.

If you are looking to purchase this car ... make them pull it in a bay with fluorescent lighting. I've seen many of the June built cars (like mine) come out of Detroit with acid rain problems ... and it can be easily detected if the car is clean, and under those fluorescents ...

Thanks!

Donna, I cannot thank you enough for checking this out for me. I have asked you to run a few different cars for me, but have finally decided on this one. I pick it up this weekend.
Regarding the acid rain, what caused this, and can I detect it under normal sunlight. I have looked it over thoroughly, and haven't noticed anything. Mind you, I don't know what to look for as far as this is concerned. What does it look like? Which body panels is it most obvious in ,and can it be polished out??
Although I did not see the car in there, they had this car in the showroom for a few months, so I would assume that this would have been visible in the showroom??
Thanks again!!

I would think you would have seen it in the showroom. It is very visible, like spots in the clearcoat, under the lights. Mine had actually pitted all the way through the clearcoat ... but I bought it at night, and they DT'd it in for me, and we didn't find out until the next day when my detail guys pulled it in to clean it up for me. If yours was in a showroom, you probably don't have a problem Mine was built 6/12.

Take care,
Donna

Donna,
Thanks for the reply. I know that this is going off topic a bit here, but have you experienced the infamous "head tick" that has been discussed on this board quite a bit? I know it's more evident in cars built in certain timeframe, and I was wondering if you had experienced this? If so, I should probably look out for it, as mine was only built two weeks after yours..

Rush2112: awesome codename!!
I'm listening to Rush at this very moment!
It's good to know that my hometown boys are appreciated throughout the states!
I can wait to see them this August!!
