Exhaust Question

Could someone please explain the difference between "glass packs" and hi-flow mufflers? Thanks!

Glass pack are what Jim Bob puts on his 76 chevy pickup. They are normally long thin tubes that I believe are filled with fiberglass packing. Glasspack here

High flow mufflers are eithered chambered(Flowmaster) or straight through( Magnaflow, Bassani, Borla) andare less restrictive than stock systems.

Magnapack

I put 'em on my '73 Chevy Monte Carlo when I was a kid - It had a 454 with holley 650 double-pumper. Let me just say that when ya got on it, and the back barrels on each opened up....whoooaaaaaaa.... I never did get a "loud pipes" ticket with that car....and I don't see how I got away with it!

Ahhh fun days of being 18.... not! wouldn't do it again for all the money in the world..hehe
