After having a number of threads about original (as opposed to extra crispy) owners, I wanted to post this to get an idea of how many here are original owners in the US, original in Canada or overseas, and how many are second, third or more in ownership as of now...

Thanks Mach1Eh. I wanted more than just a yes or no poll and I know quite a few Canadian owners feel left out sometimes. Something that should never happen. Also, for the interest of trivia, the last shipment of Ford GTs went to Canada including, of course, the last produciton Ford GT, a red car w/white stripes.

My wife is the original owner of her DSG.....took delivery 1 month after the build date.

Still have it for more than 4 years (Dec 5, 2002) with a few modifications...it is now sitting more in the garage but it collected 66,000 miles over time.

It's still a blast to drive!!

First owner here. I ordered her Feb. 04 while in Iraq. Picked her up in Germany in May 04 and put 17,xxx miles on her before shipping her home to the mid west in Jun 06. Currently 21,xxx miles. She is bone stock except for export taillights and a drop in airfilter.

2nd owner. Bought it used in Feb 05 with 16K miles on her. Put 26K miles on her the first year I owned, she now sits with 52K of which nearly 6 years (will be in November) and over 27K miles she has been blown.

Never to the dealer with the exception of TSBs with just 200 miles remaining before the factory warranty expired.

Been a dang solid car!

2nd owner bought back in Aug 06 with 22K miles on it and now on the body there is alittle over 73K miles on it, way to much money invested to sell or trade and its almost done all how i want, so i'm keepin it and hope to past down to one of my boys

New 03/2004 -> Dead 12/04 -> Brought back to life 01/'05 -> Dead 11'11 -> Brought back to life 01'12.

The Holiday seasons have been rough on her.

Not technically the first owner but bought it from my father inlaw and he bought it new. I convinced him to trade his 98 GT in at the time knowing I couldnt afford the car, ($40,000 CDN) and that eventually he would want something else and I knew he would baby it. I got it June '11. 103,000 Kms (60,00 miles)

Second owner. Purchased mine for a steal from a Ford dealership and the guy who was selling it worked there heh. He gave me all the info and he even wanted me to send him pic once in awhile... his wife made him give the Mach 1 up due to new baby in the house.

Best he could talk her into letting him buy was a Charger... dood works at Ford but buys a Charger and sells a Mach. What a shame. Anyway it was perfect stock with no scratches, garage kept and I believe it was around 12k miles or somewhere around there That was a fun 200 mile drive back home

Oh and I became disabled 1 year after I got her so mileage has been very low, especially since retirement 3 years ago. She just sits in the Garage and I start her up every 2 weeks or so and I go on my supervised (with wife) drive to see my doc once a month. I think this car is going to be stuck in the garage for a long long while. That's good for the next owner though considering I really baby this car, she still gets new oil every 6 months (which is like 200miles), habit I picked up in the Air Force, preventative maintenance goes a long way.

Original owner, bought and driven in Texas and now over in Germany. While it's still a blast on the twisties and on the Autobahn, I must admit that I miss the whole US car scene - it's not the same being the only muscle car in a sea of grey executive saloons.

I've owned 7 mustangs, but the Mach is the only one that I ever purchased brand new. 9 years and 17,000 miles later she's still looks and drives like new. Kept in a heated garage, she's been paid off for over 3 years now and collector car insurance costs $250 a year, so she costs me almost nothing to keep as a sunday driver. I plan on keeping the Mach for a long time.
